Wanted....One huge cat box!
Comments (5)Hmmm... LIST: Backhoe check! Ruger Mini-14 .223 rifle check! (That's it circled!) Actually 90% of the time I'm working alone, but I'm always armed. I've been working and clearing the ditch, off and on, for a very long time. Large parts are more like a creek than a ditch, but the mess was so bad that you couldn't even find it. Between blackberries and downed trees...you have to almost guess. The hard core work has been going on since last Aug, with down time for repairs. (For both the Backhoe and me!) The ditch goes for many miles and no one has maintained it for years. The amount of huge downed trees that I've had to cut and haul out, has really worn me to the bone. That's pretty much why my time here is erratic, at best! I don't even walk out to the back fields w/o it and extra clips. We're the only ones that haven't lost cows or equines to them. Lots of sheep, but we have too many anyway! ;~) I spend a lot of time alone at night out at some of the ponds getting fish food. It's right there, against the Jeep, within arms reach! Or, strapped to my back! I'm generally commin' in around dark-thirty or later and always pay careful attentions to what's goin' on. Local wildlife can always let you know what's up, if you pay attention to them. It's that deathly silence that makes me spooky! I know that everything is hiding, but me. I pretty much leave at that point! ;~) Thanks for your concern! Scott BTW... Scott is my middle name!:~)...See MoreDaisy Broke One of the Cats!
Comments (32)Henry has "that look" on his face because seconds before he was sprawled across the top of the chair and the flash from the camera woke hip up. That evil eye is directed at me! Henry doesn't care for belly kisses. You need to direct your attention to Zorro, our asthma kitty, and his belly. He *LOVES* a belly kiss or three. :-) Maggie, the smallest and oldest kitty is the one who will chase Daisy through the house to put her in her place. OMG!!! Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of The Crazy Daisy Show! This week, water gardening. ****************************************************** Mr. Red is fantastic, aside from being permanently blind in the left eye. Hmmmm. Dunno? Did I update you about him? The ophthalmologist examined him and said "his retina is shredded." The blindness is 100% permanent and he is at risk for developing glaucoma in that eye as well as getting seizures. But for now he is doing great. He's got a minimum of 5 distinct songs. One is always sung at about 2:30~3:00AM and sounds very similar to that of a male canary song. :-)...See MoreWaa! My cat just broke one of a pair of lamps! Help find new one?
Comments (19)Oh, I feel your pain. My cat jumped on a table in the lr to look out the window (early in the morning, pleated shades down). She knocked over the lamp, broke the finial and the Kraft paper shade shattered all over the place. Just the shade was over $50 to replace. Wanted to strangle her!!!! Have you tried Home Goods, TJ or Marshalls? I often see great lamps there for little money. Here's another alternative for you from Crate and Barrel. Probably too expensive, though if they have an outlet near you (they do near me), it might be worth checking out. Here is a link that might be useful: Crate and Barrel lamp...See MoreScore: Cat one, Possum zero
Comments (1)I know for a fact that cats will go after a possum. They must smell like a big mouse. An elder lady friend wanted one of my feral barn cats for a house pet. Once the wild cat settled into the house it began catching the possums that lived under her house. These days "susie" is a fat lazy old ladies cat and the house is possum free. : ) michael...See MoreElmer J Fudd
