Thanks. I know about the Speed Queen's almost cult-like following but I havent found it in a store to look at and I think it may be a little wide (paired with a dryer) in my small spaced laundry room. I just found out that Electrolux has a reversible door option so I am going to look into them.

When I was looking for a new set the only two brands that I could find were Electrolux and speed queen. I ended up buying longer washer hoses and dryer hoses and putting the washer on the right vs the left as that’s what the set up was for our house. Worked out well, just another option too. We went with a Maytag front load set.

The Electrolux EFLS627UTT is Consumer Reports recommended washer and has a reversible door.

We have Bosch 800 series washer and dryer. Best I recall, the manual read that the doors are reversible.

Just to update: I got the Electrolux washer and dryer [627 models] and am happy with them. I have the dryer on the left and the washer on the right and got the door to the washer reversed so that both washer and dryer open near each other and swing out to the walls. It worked out great! Thanks to all.

All of the current W-1 washer models that I have seen have doors that are hinged on the left. They open from the right side and swing to the left. Were you maybe thinking of the T-1 dryer models? Or is there a new model?

Jwvide, it’s my older sets that aren’t made anymore. I didn’t know they switched the door swing. It makes sense to switch it for our North America market since we put the washer on the left. But the old Miele until this new W-1 put the door with hing on the right
