I like the look of the plumbing as it is. I saw several like that in very high-end houses on a homebuilders’ tour recently.

No need for any type of cover. Add some nice artwork above the tub instead.

Cool tub! I'd find a vintage persian rug to place in front of the tub - that may not be your style, but point is, the plumbing is fine, just decorate more.

Yep you are correct on cleaning behind tub but I can get back there with vacuum attachment.

What don't you like about the plumbing showing? Is it not jewellery like enough for you? Perhaps somebody has an idea of making the pipes shinier or more decorative.

I am not bothered by it at all personally but you live with it and you have to have a level of comfort about what you live with.

To me it looks very nice with the light and the picture. It would also look nice with a decorative mat of some kind. Something easy care would be nice.

Tie a yellow, pink or blue ribbon on it! Maybe the lighting is just poor, but the art looks faded and old to me.

Thanks again for some of the feedback, especially the positive ones. I've added a few pics to better show layout and color. The picture is not old and faded, maybe additional pic helps clarify. I agree with mat, need to upgrade. Again I'm very happy with my bathroom just wanted to get some ideas on fixture placement. We built our home and to be honest this the only thing I felt we missed. We live on Smith Mountain Lake and the decor is more casual and leans farmhouse styling.

I think it looks good and industrial -- I would leave it!

There is no way to cover the fixtures that would not be weird. I do worry about cleaning between the tub and the wall, and under it?

Your bathroom is lovely, including the art. The plumbing looks like it is meant to be shown - trying to hide it would be like a crocheted toilet paper cover. Embrace it!

Like I said you can clean between wall and tub without problems, there's more space than maybe picture shows. This is not a claw tub so no cleaning underneath., all good.

I'd like to also suggest you select a larger, more interesting canvas for next to the tub.

I like the art you have there already. It is pretty. Sometimes, when people choose art as decor instead of just art, the picture looks like something that belongs in a Hilton hotel, not a personal space.

Also this picture is not too big to overpower the space, it could be larger but I'm a fan of Monet. Plus I didn't want to compete with window above, that picture changes every minute.

In our bath, we put the tub filler on the far side of the tub so that you would see the faucet upon entering the room. Was there a logistical reason for configuring yours this way? It doesn’t look bad, but at first glance I thought it was something clinical, like grab bars. I certainly wouldn’t cover it.

Please refer to my request for ideas, it explains why it's in it's location. The tub is one of the last pieces that go in so I didn't have another choice.

Also, the drain is in the middle so the fixture is fixed as to where it goes.

Covering it will draw attention to it.

IMHO, exposed plumbing is one of the charms of freestanding tubs. I like it so much I chose plumbing in the shower that is also externally mounted.

I think you notice it because putting it there was not your first choice, but in time you will probably not even see it.

You might consider putting a tray across the tub and decorating the trayso that your eye is drawn there instead? eg
