Can you have an L shaped kitchen with sink under the window? Then stove moved down with refrigerator on end next to the wall. I am not sure if I would open up kitchen wall to LR...j. For your island I think it should separate DR and Kitchen.....

Are you a neat cook, always cleaning up as you cook? Do you want everyone to be able to see into your kitchen at all times?
Are the walls in heavy black load-bearing walls? If you remove or open them, are you willing to pay the extra cost of putting the new support beams up into the ceiling for a truly open floor plan?
Do you have a furniture arrangement decided upon for the new open plan?
Will you pay the extra money to have new, matching windows installed?
Will you pay the extra money to have the flooring replaced or patched where the walls are removed?

my home is very similar to yours and am thinking of doing the same thing. we want to remove the wall that connects to DR. it's definitely not load bearing. we then want to put a big island where that wall was. If you do decide to do your remodel, please let me know a ballpark figure on cost

There won’t be a good place for the fridge unless you put it between the two windows: you will have to do all new cabinets in a totally new arrangement which makes room for the fridge where you have an outlet. There will be electric outlets which will need to be moved or disconnected when you remove the walls. There will be plumbing to move, too.
Write up all your wishes and thoughts and get estimates from three professional contractors.

So the contractor will let me know tomorrow if the walks can be removed and if there is a need for beam.
Unfortunately I can’t change the size of the windows.
There are radiators under the windows, not sure if I can put anything there at all.
I was thinking of the following options:

1. Put the fridge between the windows, and island/peninsula parallel to the windows, and all the appliances on the right wall
2. All the appliances, including the fridge on the right wall, island parallel to the right wall (island/peninsula sticking out between the two windows)
3. Or just give up and stay with a closed kitchen

That means the widths of each wall/window/door/doorway and the distances between each wall/window/door/doorway. See a sample below. Personally, I would keep the galley kitchen layout. I cook a lot and this is way more efficient for cooking and cabinet storage than an L shape. No dead end corners. If you want to open it to the DR then make that side an island that attaches to the wall between the windows. You can run this island all the way to the wall since you can pass items across the island to the dining room. Put the sink and dishwasher on the Island. Put the stove and fridge on the wall where stove and sink are currently located. Your rooms are quite small give the sf listed on each rooms dimensions so your options are limited. If the two windows are separated in this way, they won’t look weird.
Try to fit in a pull out pantry if you can. I would leave the wall to living room from the kitchen. You can put a decorative bookcase on the kitchen side for cookbooks etc. Super cute.
The big island will be full or storage. You will lose function if you remove the wall from kitchen to LR and spend a ton of money.

What you could do with the windows is add a plain narrow horizontal trim board to the top of the left larger window so the tops of the window trim are the same

You could also go a step farther and add either cafe curtains or double louvered plantation shutters to the windows so you could keep the bottom part closed so the difference in window height would not be visible.

With cafe curtains, preferably swaq tops that cover the side window trim, you could have a top ruffle across both windows to hide the "fix" with the extra trim boards and, leaving an open space between that ruffle and the bottom curtains, keep the curtains closed.

Are you hoping to have seating at the island or peninsula and have a dining table? Because if you are, you absolutely do not have the room. As it is now, there is barely enough room

Additionally these circled areas appear to be structural posts that most likely run through every condo and are not removable. (I had that in my condo)

So if it were me, i'd remove the doors and yes open up what little you can. I would not open the kitchen to the dining room because then you have no place for your appliances and for much needed storage. I'd put cabinets to the ceiling.

I would get a smaller built in fridge. 30" or 33" at most to give you extra space. By putting the stove on the opposite wall, you now can have a 30" stove instead of the 24" shown.

What do the radiators look like? Are they baseboard or more like you drew them?

If they are baseboard, then you can do an L shaped layout but you still have no room for an island.

And if you want to do a peninsula type as long as it's just to open it without seating, it's doable too. However you lose the upper cabinetry which in such a small kitchen is important.

if you want a peninsula, you can do some cabinets under it. Just have enough countertop overhang for legs during seating. L shaped peninsula can also go against the wall to hide the 2 different windows, you can still have the radiator under part of the L, and cabinets under the rest. I agree with not putting the fridge between two heat sources.
