Comments (0)Hi, A friend of mine grows this beautiful rose but she doesn't know the name. I would love to identify it. It is very fragrant, a tall hybrid tea I think with frilled petals. The buds are reddish orange, almost striped but open to this apricot/orange colour. It keeps well. The foliage is large, matt green, mid yellow green colour and it has fine thorns. Does anyone know who she is? I live in Australia and these are quite old roses, at least ten years. Regards Susie Image link:...See MoreWhat color paint with green and orange?
Comments (17)On a contrary note...I would worry that gray will make the fresh pretty quilt seem a little garish, which it really isn't. And I am also not a fan of the turquoise idea. The green is leafy, and the others are flower colors, so if I were thinking of blue, I'd choose a very pale clear sky blue, like Martin Senour's "Frozen Dew," Duron's "Tibetan Sky," or one of my favorites, Donald Kaufman's DKC-44, to carry the feeling of being in a garden into the room. None of those scream "baby boy blue." I might even paint a row of tall grass around the baseboards for the fun of it. Another good option might be a sunny light yellow, which would be a nice background for the quilt colors. I like Sherwin-Williams SW 6693 "Lily" or SW 6686 "Lemon Chiffon" which are very pale gold rather than wimpy yellows - Lily has a little green in it, but depending on your light, it isn't evident....See MoreInterested in seeing kitchens painted orange or cheerful green...
Comments (15)Rufinorox - your paint color actually seems to be a lot like the one we have now, only maybe a tad happier as ours is more of a greenish-beige avocado! I really like my paint color, but with all the white that's about to take over my kitchen, I feel I *have* to do something either darker or punchier. Yours is lovely. :) Oldhouse1 - Cooking Apple Green looks very pretty from what I could see online, thanks! Storklady - Gleeful does look great too however it really is hard to tell from the online samples I saw so please do post soon! :) Sabjimata - thanks for that awesome link! Those were some great colors and tiles... sc_kathyc - I really love that green. I think that could look really nice and can't wait to see more when your cabinets are done! Donnakay - I am very intrigued by your orange walls! Not too bold, which might be very nice for it to be a bit more subdued than some of these other oranges. Looks very nice next to white. Thanks for posting the pics!...See MoreCharline X
