Bathroom Vanity Wall Sconces
Comments (11)brutuses -- Can you dim these? I love the 'glow' when our sconces are on dim. I haven't gone to CFLs, waiting to see some that can be dimmed...also unhappy about the mercury problem they present. Yeah, I'm a hanger-backer about new and improved anything. (I really need to replace the Flex-Seal pressure cooker, though. LOL)...See MoreCross-post: friends looking for this sconce for bathroom
Comments (6)Thanks for the link tibbrix. I looked, and it said its on back order, though I'm willing to bet they won't be getting it in. I'll pass along the link in case my friends want to follow-up with them. Allison and tibbrix, not sure if they checked eBay, but my friends did say they had searched online and had no luck at all locating the sconce(s). I know the power of GW sometimes works its magic to find the "unfindable" so I figured it was worth a shot....See MoreCan this sconce go in a dining room? Or is it a bathroom sconce?
Comments (3)It's very pretty - I don't see why not. From the specs it looks to be about 12 tall, which seems substantial enough for a dining room. My concern would be more that it takes only a 60 watt bulb, which isn't a lot of light. I assume, though, that you've got other lighting in the room. Would you switch it out for an LED? You could get a lot more light if you use, say, a 75 watt equivalent, which would still keep you well below the 60 watt maximum. However, part of the "look" which makes this fixture interesting seems to be the clear bulb with the filament showing. I'd try to find a showroom somewhere, to see how various bulbs look in it....See Morelighting type and placement in off centered bathroom vanity
Comments (5)I would consider putting the two sinks on the same wall, and a separate makeup vanity on teh wall wall where the sink in question i located -- or in the bedroom if there's space. Then you have lots of reasonable options. Otherwise, no lighting from one side of your face. Do single mirrors with lights above, or keep the long mirror....See MoreJulie Clark
