Grande Dame--Is It Really GRAND?
Comments (12)If you look at the description of the rose in Edmunds catalog you will note that they mention the nodding blooms. It's just the nature of this rose to have large blooms and weak stems. Some might find a certain charm in that.....Lovely picture Mossy......Maryl Here is a link that might be useful: Edmunds-Grande Dame description...See Morepictures and grand son
Comments (3)I checked out the photos last night, Moni. Well, most of them! lol I thought I could just llok at the pictures but I ended up re-reading the whole thing! You sure met a lot of interesting people. I like that you bought the honeymooners a wedding present! LOL It's nice being in a 'community' isn't it. Meeting up with other bikers and you have so much in common, probably seems like you know them! I haven't checked out Mels yet! Your photos are fun! thanks! We were just out at the ocean last Saturday. We went to Westport and walked around. visited Washington's tallest lighthouse. The couple that were volunteering there are from Tennesee! They pick a destination for a vacation and once a year, they load up their RV and spend a month there. Comments (2)@Tootsie: The fireplace is non-working/covered, so there's no issue there. It is visually the focal point of the room, though....See MoreSelling our house. Not yet. Definitely not yet. Or not.
Comments (79)KSWL, way to make me feel guilty. Texanj, thanks. That pool looks wonderful, I don't blame you. My friend/neighbor is a very accomplished landscape designer. She came by yesterday and we agreed on some areas for a little refresh of the property. We have a wonky entrance from our guest parking that she is giving some thought. We have a large bed around our well that is too hodge-podgey. She is also going to tag vegetation around the pond to be pruned and/or removed, but she likes most of it and says it is one reason our pond and our fish are healthy. I have a corner of my property with the most lovely moss growing, and she wants to do something there but we are not sure what. The permitting process for a pool precludes getting one in before the frost, but our guy can accommodate us in April. So we will go forward with permitting and design, and by next April we will have an even better idea about where all of our kids will be and hence our timing, and go from there. Having plans and permits can be a plus even if we did sell and didn't build it....See Morekaren paul interiors
