The pool and cabana are just about finished. Below is a picture of the completed TV wall with my 6 year old daughter for relative perspective. The landscaping was installed at the same time as the Blue Granite PebbleSheen. Lots of work in the yard on Friday but it makes everything look a lot better. Started filling up the pool on Saturday and it was still filling Monday night. The pumps are going now and hopefully it will not take long to get the right look of the water. The remaining items are the re-sodding of the backyard, sealing the deck and finish wiring of the cabana. It feels like we have run a marathon and can now see the finish line. Did someone say Turboritas????? LOL My pool is Sandy Beach Stonescapes. I picked the color to match my tile and brick. I also knew that the top edge of my spa was going to show the pebble, so I wanted it to look natural. I love the shelf and the top of the spa, but the water in my pool is not the shade that I had hoped. The pools that I saw with the Sandy Beach as examples were Pebble Tec. They were more blue than green. Ours isn't. The other thing that happened was that someone, I believe Husky, posted some pictures of a pool that they had done with a chocolate brown background. It was beautiful, so I wasn't worried about the darker tan background. Unfortunately I didn't get that color. If I could do it again, I would stick with the same color stones, and insist on a lighter background that was more on the white side. Someone awhile back had a salt and pepper finish that was quite nice. Good luck and INSIST on seeing the pools in person and don't rush. It has a lifetime warranty! Kristen More around my blog. Trailrunner, I live in Pewaukee, WI which is about 20 miles west of Milwaukee. This past winter was very long but I think I can safely say spring has sprung. I swim laps like crazy all summer. I thought I was doing good with 50 or 60 round trips but now you make me feel like a slug with your 80. We only use a pool service to open and close the pool. I do maintenance throughout the summer. We replaced the old sand filter with a cartridge system 2 years ago and the pool stays cleaner than ever. No more back washing and way less vacuuming. People are always surprised when I tell them how little work it is to keep the pool up. I would love to have pavers or stained, stamped concrete around the pool but can't justify the expense either. Found a photo of the damage that a September hailstorm did to the liner. We were actually lucky because we were planning on replacing the liner the next spring and this way our homeowners insurance covered the cost. So here is what it looked like. This photo ( with my son acting a little bit goofy) shows that the previous liner was a bit lighter than the current one. Our pool gets full sun until late in the day. Maybe I should have picked an even darker liner. I didn't think they would make the water that much warmer. Oh well, I hope this liner is good for the next ten years.

Linen white is a stock off-white that many people (including myself) love. Ballet white (OC-9) is supposed to be completely neutral and is very light. I think Elephant Tusk (OC-8) is wonderful, but it may be a little too dark for you. It is the same as Ivory Porcelain (239).
