Try semihandmade.com. They do cabinet doors and drawer fronts for Ikea kitchens. They have a lot of options to chose from and you can order samples.

I love my IKEA cabinets, but in the few years I've had my white cabinets they have all yellowed. Very disappointing.

IMO buying a counter before deciding on cabinets is a bit wonky but why not do Ringhult they are snow white I have had my high gloss white cabinets from Ikea for 12 years no issues and definately not yellowed.

Pat, yep, the high gloss do not yellow. Only the cheaper finish.

Thanks for the info, I'll look at the high gloss. I'm just concerned that it will look too modern in my home.
I know buying the countertop first was weird, but we loved it and were ready to buy the white Axstad before I just saw some negative comments on them. I didn't anticipate possibly having to come up with an alternative.

@BeverlyFLADeziner - thanks for sharing this info - which door fronts do you have that yellowed? If you have photos to share it would be very helpful.

This feedback sent me down a veritable rabbit hole of research; sounds like I should call Ikea to see if they have addressed the yellowing issue with the latest series of doors. If the Ikea cabinets will yellow, I'd honestly get what I really want, which is custom taupe painted cabinets by Scherr's, but I know non-white painted colors are always more expensive than standard whites...

I am also working on the design of our kitchen. We also want to buy our kitchen at IKEA. We had bodbyn off-white in our old house, but doubt whether I want to go for it again. I'm actually looking for a fresher whiter front. I also have doubts about the quality of the axstad. I'm so curious about what people have to say about it.

What about using the black Lerhyttan cabinets? With aged brass hardware. Do you have a pic of the slab you bought?

Have you already made a decision? We are going for IKEA Axstad anyway. In the Netherlands there are no better fronts for the same price. Now I have to figure out a counter. I doubt between Frosty Carrina, London Gray and Misty Carerra. The island gets an oak worktop. I'm curious what you are going for.

Just finished our small galley kitchen with Bodbyn white...So far loving it but hoping it doesn't yellow as some of the previous comments mention.

I would love to see someone's Axstad kitchen if they've installed it. I'm not new to thermofoil cabinets, so I know what the level of care it entails. I just designed my kitchen with the IKEA kitchen planner and am so excited to make my purchase in the upcoming months! If anyone installs theirs before I get to mine, please let me know how it went.

We have started to build our kitchen. Halfway through we decided to return all the axstad doors. Almost all fronts were broken. Right out of the box already. We now have bodbyn doors and are very happy with it.

Beverly, which line did you have that yellowed?

@Jolien van Dijk, did you noticed a huge difference in the quality of the bodbyn door vs the axstad? As far as I know, axstad is matte and bodbyn has more of a gloss, so not sure if there is better quality with bodbyn.

n our old house we also had a bodbyn kitchen and I was always very satisfied with that. I think bodbyn certainly have better quality.

if they all yellowed, perhaps you can change the door fronts with one of those companies that sell fronts for IKEA boxes for a refresh?

Axstad are thermofoil and Bodbyn are painted.

Not to steal your thread, but what color white would you choose for the walls with the Axstad cabs? They are bright white, so it feels challenging to pair?
I just ordered Axstad cabinets and have a couple days to pick wall color.

@lhdt, I have Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter on my walls now and that should give a nice warmth. I would also consider Benjamin Moore Light Pewter, it's a very subtle greige but you can see the difference against the white cabinets. Another color you may consider is Sherwin Williams Alpaca. I saw someone post their kitchen with that color and I loved it too!

Thanks Destiny! I missed the response amidst the craziness of remodeling and Thanksgiving. The Axstad cabs come tomorrow. I went with a custom SW off white. Fingers crossed they like each other lol!

Please post photos if you can! I'm making my purchase in January or March and would love to see them. I saw the sample in person, but they weren't on display in a demo kitchen at my IKEA store.

Fabuwood has great options like Nexus Frost -- it's a true, pure, cold white color. They have other white cabinet options, too https://aquagranite.com/fabuwood-cabinets/

I will try to remember to post! New wood floors (biggest regret-should have done tile since I have a little one) are acclimating and hopefully will be sealed next week. Then we can start building the cabinets.
