Here is another view of the yard. We get all the neighbors run off. Water moves from the mid left of photo toward back center. It works great with the exception of the water just stands stagnant. I wish that it collected on the opposite side of the path or I could feed toward the back corner (top right in photo). I had thought about a dry stream bed, but my husband really wants a little bit more grass in this area. Would there be a way for me to build up most of it, but leave one area lower, maybe north near the base of tree and create a dry bed that extends beneath hammock and to back of the property? That is where the actual maintenance ditch lies, and you can see how the land starts to slope downward.

if it were me... i would go find the camera.. and use my phone.. for.. get this.. phone calls... lol ... your self effacing comments entertained me ... thx ken see if this will help .. i dont do this technology.. so i am winging it.. but find out what the default is on your phone.. landscape or portrait.. and insure that you take the pix.. in that orientation ... if you are presuming its one way.. and its the other... that MIGHT be your base problem .... e.g. if your phone is in portrait.. but you keep turning your phone into landscape... like most of us do for the garden.. then you are the one rotating it.. but the phone is 'marking it' as portrait.. so when its posted.. its turned...

If you have Windows XP, here's a nice, easy way to resize photos. Download and install the XP Image Resizer Powertoy from Microsoft via the link below. Once installed, all you have to do is right-click on an image file (I know it handles jpg/gif files and it may handle others as well). You will now see an option to "Resize Pictures." Click on "Resize Pictures" and you will be given a menu that looks like this: Choose the option that you'd like and click OK. You can use the advanced button to enter a custom size. The tool will leave your original picture untouched. It simply creates another file named "imagename (small).jpg" or medium or large, etc. You can easily resize multiple pictures this way by selecting multiple items from your explorer window (using the CTRL or Shift key), right-clicking and selecting "Resize Pictures". It's a really nice little tool that most people don't know exists and it's much easier than doing the same thing via image editing software. And it's free. I have a similar problem and even correcting the orientation using Windows Photo Gallery, the photos continue to show up sideways when sent in email or posted here or any other website. Zep, I checked out the link and it does not offer any help. I frankly think it is either some glitch between PC's and Apple or intentional by Apple. You can make all the corrections you want on the PC and the photos are still sideways. What I do now is upload my photos from my Iphone or Ipad to Photobucket and make the corrections there. I then copy the photo and paste them to my computer. Its ridiculous to have to go through all those steps but I haven't found a way around the problem. Jane
