New Craft Room!
Comments (71)It's the darn mudding and sanding that is holding everything up!!! Decided today that my craft table will be 4ftx6ftx35"h! 4x4legs, 3/4inch plywood top and shelf,2x4 construction, wheels and a 2" lip all around to add my magnifying lights. Plus I am going to make specialty shelves for mosaic supplies: 4ft tall x 2ft wide x 6" deep. Table and shelves are not included in the craft room conversion budget...Bad Jane...Scheming out loud... Oh! And I just got a cool idea for a coffee table! I want to have two comfy chairs and a book shelf coffee table so I bought these 2ftx2ft bookshelves, will screw them back to back, put plywood on bottom and top, add wheels for turning and TADA! A cool coffee table/bookshelf! Now that's gotta be mosaiced!!! Tonight I gotta do a bit of sanding, prime the walls, clean up the floor(very messy drywall!!) Tomorrow and next day paint baseboard and walls(DH has abandoned me for work!) Long handled paint roller is my friend now!!! Did I mention I'm wheel obsessed? I seem to want wheels on Everything! I've been looking for just the right(right priced)chair to sit up to the craft table. Like Gretch's!...See MoreIt’s raining cats and dogs around here!
Comments (12)Omar, congrats on getting four inches. Yes, that is almost flood stage. My total remains at one inch. Thanks for the photos. Like here, everything looks all cleaned up! Patty, I knew Bob was going to love your "raining cats and dogs" comment about oodles of poodles n' puddles and he did. He said, "Good! VERY good!" I know what 'they' say about puns, but I happen to like that kind of humor. Cooper, I hope the 30 day forecast is wrong and you get more than one day of not only possible rain, but some real rain!...See MoreIt’s Here!..........
Comments (24)Technically, we're zone 1b, interior Alaska. Last year was brutal, we had weeks at -40, and 44 days in a row our low temperatures were-25 or colder. I lost all my Columbine and my Forget me nots died way back, but the asparagus survived, I was shocked! I am hoping for a little warmer this winter. My daughter and I love looking at all of your gorgeous gardens, filled with plants we couldn't grow here! We have the most success with our edibles, currants, blueberries, raspberries, crab apples....See MoreBefore and After Kitchen Remodel
Comments (60)@Chrissy Torres, I am in the middle of a very similar kitchen redo. They just took the wall down today. Only difference is my space is a bit more narrow so we couldn't get an island down the middle and we are doing it at one end. Can I ask what backspash tile you chose and which cabinet hardware? I really love both! Searching Bocchi sink is what brought me to your post and I was wondering the use of all of the gadgets too and if it is worth it. I could see myself still using a regular strainer, cutting board, etc. Your kitchen is stunning!...See Morekathyg_in_mi
