what color should I paint the kitchen cabinets?
Comments (11)As you said, improving a house for sale, requires a careful evaluation of investment vs. return. Have you consulted with several local realtors to see what the consensus is? IMHO, Jan is correct - the counters and back splash are the problem here, not the cabinets. Unless the cabinets are shot (and we can't see that from your photos), save yourself time, $ and aggravation and don't paint them. I have years of experience staging homes for sale and I would advise you to lose the back splash and replace it with a simple creamy white subway tile to connect the floor and counters. Then lose the green walls because they do not enhance the wood cabs, etc. As Stacy suggested above, replace the pulls with simple brushed nickle. Then call it a day. Best....See MoreHELP! What color should we paint our kitchen cabinets to go with floor
Comments (12)paint the uppers only, a white or mushroom....[putty]…..I think the bottom cabinet area will work with the floor then. The layer of wood cabinetry on the walls is very "heavy" , visually.....regardless of what floor exists. A change at eye level[walls] will change things in a big way. And the wood cabinets lower down will actually be good, as an "anchor" for your space. And get some runners/mats. You lack base drawers..at some point a replacement will come into your discussions..... so extra trouble of painting them isn't worth it....See MoreWhat color white from SW should I use for kitchen cabinets
Comments (17)I do like Chantily Lace i am just worry might be too white. I am not sure what is between Simply white and Chantily lace. I have been looking at White Dove, Simply White, chantily lace, extra white, oxford and cloud white. White dove and simply white are deffinitely showing visible yellow. I am looking for warm white without the yellow. I am trying to understand if Oxford white or Cloud White are the once. my hubby and kids are chosing Chantily Lace but i keep thinking may be like chalk and worry about that so still deciding. I saw at Home Depot very nice white cabinets that where very white but i liked them . I was wondering if Chantily lace would be about the same or whiter. A ll your advices are very helpful. I have 2 days left to tell the painter which color. All your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you...See MoreShould I paint kitchen cabinets? What color?
Comments (16)this can be quite simple as the cabinets look to be a nice quality finish on maple and work well w the floor. the counter is fine...you can pull the ?green for floor mats/runner as someone said above...introduce a bit of color. I would spend to remove the 4 inch strip and the backsplash and place a white subway tile backsplash. Lightening up the wall closer to a neutral off white can help..maybe before the fridge is installed. You have floorspace for a small white cart which can be handy and look good in a white shade also. As said...this will be easy to adjust a few things to make you happy I think. Here are carts ...center of floorspace?? or maybe against the half wall on the left....a little fun style/ some extra landing and storage. Or maybe a really shallow table there w stool for actual sitting w laptops/coffee etc. Very nice kitchen anyway. If you measure distance from edge of counter over to half wall that could be something to think about [ if generous enough] to actually install something...these shown are mobile/ not permanent....See MoreD Lap
