I vote neither. Those sectionals are going to take over the whole room. I almost made this mistake before. It’s one thing to tape off the floor, but you can’t really get an idea of scale until the furniture is in the space. I think you need to keep looking.

Haley does bring up a good point... I would stack boxes or upside down trash cans or SOMETHING with some actual dimension in the exact size of the couch and see how it feels.

The issue is there really are no other choices in the store. I’m only aloud to choose from that store and no where else. I’m also not aloud to buy online. They had a smaller one that was a really ugly blue.

But then I went pillow shopping... And it turns out I have expensive taste in pillows. I'm sure you could find nicer ones on Etsy much cheaper. I would choose texture and not shiny fabrics. OK, I really gotta get my kids ready for school to start. Good luck Matthew!

I brought home a wingback chair once. Yeah, it technically fit in the space, but the thing was so overstuffed and top heavy it dwarfed my other furniture and looked like something from Alice in Wonderland. I had to beg the store for a credit.

I wish the store would give me credit but they just won’t and today is literally my only day to make a choice and I’m running outta time. They have a smaller sectional but I just was not digging it sadly. I made poor choices and it looks like I’m paying for it now

They won't let you switch for a couch? Or you're set on a sectional? If you do a couch with a chaise (like the Noah you posted above), you can get a nice big ottoman to put your feet up. I understand you're limited on options, but this is a "final" decision so make sure you will be happy with it. :)

Yes I really enjoy there products and I’m not sure what I should look for in a couch in other to make that work. Also I like that picture of the couch you sent above. Let's try to put things in perspective. First, this is not a forever sofa, or a forever apartment, and the worst that will happen is the space will feel overcrowded. That is balanced by the comfort you'll feel when you sprawl out in your cocoon-y little space. And this couch is way better looking and more inviting than that three-seater thing you have now.

Aesthetically, a sofa and a chair would be a better fit, but will not give you the comfort that you want. Of your choices then, the lighter sectional seems the best.

You are correct when you say is not a forever sofa. No I absolutely agree that anything is better than my current three seater.

I do like the lighter sectional and how it feels. I just don’t want me attitude to change towards it once it is delivered because they would deliver it today and I can send a pic of it after it is in the apartment.

This is what you logically have room for in your space Add a chair and coffee table and you're finished.

The metro is 1" too long to do a left side facing chaise, but you might be able to find another one that is shorter or do it as a right side. What I'm trying to work out then is where you could put a chair... Did you move the stools to the other end of the peninsula? Would an arrangement like this work with the light sectional? You might have to move cable or something... Sorry Matthew, not trying to stress you out more - just brainstorming to find you the best solution!

I’m going to go and look again today. Right now I’m selling the coffee table, End tables and TV console so those are not in play right now. I’m looking to find a good couch that I can start with and then start adding from there down the line.

The sectional above in the photo is nice but the issue is they don’t have any that are good colors. There are two I believe and they are both really ugly red or blue.

Would they let you get it from another area store or does it need to be THAT one? Can't hurt to ask if you have multiple options nearby...

I’ll have to look again to see if it’s available but I’m not sure if im a fan of the color or not. If it works with my Rove concepts then yes I would consider it easily.

I bought the coffee table with the end table because I needed to buy something else to match the price.

Hey we all started small and traded up. My first 'sofa' was a twin bed with Marimeko pillows in my studio apartment. 50 years later I'm still drooling over sofas and sectionals that will not fit into my home.
