Recreating this living room...dark wicker....pale green sofas...
Comments (12)You might try PadmaÂs Plantation furniture for something similar. Expensive, but well-made. You could also try doing a search on wicker seating, and consider painting it a dark color if it doesnÂt come that way. As for the couch, since you are not looking for the style, just go to a custom/semi-custom furniture place and ask to see the fabric choices. You should be able to find Waverly fabric with a black background that you could use for the drapery panels and valance. Here is another fabric that isnÂt Waverly that could work: gaskin blackstone Similar lamps can be found at places like Lamps Plus in the coral porcelain, tho not quite in the same shape: coral porcelain tea lamp Otherwise, I think this could work well if you chose a fabric similar to the one I posted. lotus porcelain lamp...See MoreNew living room and I'm stumped!
Comments (10)I really like the sofa/chaise idea in the above diagram. And the chairs could be swivels. I think you would miss the storage if you removed all the built ins. But, I would be inclined to remove the one section of built in that acts as a TV stand or at least have it reworked to match the depth of the rest of the unit. Since flat screen TVs don't need much depth, I would place the TV in the built in across the short section that would directly face the sofa/chaise, perhaps wall mounting it directly to the back of the unit and having all the shelves and vertical divider removed. I would create an additional seating area with an occasional chair in the corner and a small table under the window that is to the right of the fireplace and eliminate the secretary desk that is against the wall adjacent to that corner. Totally agree about no TV above the fireplace. I had a contractor tell me that one of his most common jobs is removing such TVs to a more comfortable location....See Morei’m having a living-room dilemma
Comments (7)I believe 2 chairs offer more flexibility vs a loveseat. heres a couple ideas, both neutral but different neutral colors and different styles. one chair facing the window with a side table that can service the sofa and the chair. another chair angled into the room at the window, hard to tell how much room you have but it seems like you have enough roommfor 2 chairs...See MoreNeed help deciding on a sofa for our lime green color living room
Comments (15)I love green sofas, that one is fab. If you have your heart set on it, and decide to explore other paint colors, the Farrow & Ball IG account always has great inspiration. I don’t know what the other sides of the room look like, or connecting rooms, so can’t advise for sure what would work. And F & B is pricey, but maybe similar colors could be found in other brands. These aren’t the exact color of your sofa, but I think could still work with it — This one is Setting Plaster, one of my fav F & B colors: This is Jitney: Treron: Hague Blue (notice how the lighting makes it look darker than the one above): Cornforth White: Green with DeNimes: Obviously, the styles of some of these are very different, but again, just color ideas. If you have an IG account, look up hashtags such as ’green velvet couch’ … ’green couch’ … ’green sofa’ … etc. ETA: Cawaps’ second mock-up looks good. A bold and eclectic look that could work....See MoreRelated Professionals
