Comments (10)Several years ago; I can’t remember who told me, but if you know the paint color, remove the light switch cover from the first switch you come to when you enter a room and write the color details on the reverse side and put it back. That way you’ll always have a record of your paint. Then you can hang the paintings whichever way you like and patch the holes when you want. The Command strips in my experience, vary with their retaining strength on textured walls and can let go after a couple of years when you least expect it leaving a potential mess on the floor. My personal preferences are the screw in drywall picture hanging hooks. Comments (0)I have a king bed with a tall cathedral headboard, flanked with nightstands and large urn shaped lamps. However, I need to add color. How do I hang pictures over the lamps? Clearing the lamps or slightly below the top of the lamps? Either way would be pretty close to the top of the headboard. Nothing else looks right to me. Comments (2)Centering over the towel bar is logical, but the towel hook detracts, particularly if you have a towel hanging on it. If you don't use the towel hook, remove it and patch the wall. If you do use it, consider lowering it so it doesn't compete as much with the picture....See MoreAnnegriet
