We chose Krypton and have received our 51 boxes. We're still doing floor prep and will be a while before we start installation. Nathan is installing Krypton now, and looking at stair nosing.

Thought I would also update this thread since it popped back up. We moved into our new build 2 months ago and ended up choosing engineered wood for most of the house, except the mudroom, laundry room and their connecting long back hallway, which got tile. I can close this area off and the dogs stay here if we are gone for several hours. Their food and water is also kept in the laundry room. The floors are Duchateau - Riverstone collection - Sava color. So far they have not shown any scratches from the dogs making the crazy run to the front door when they hear the doorbell and/or fedex! The floors have a rustic look and slight texture that will make it easier to hide any scratches and dents.

Living with my Karndean Warm Ash 9" planks for 2 months. Its very pretty, love 9" and the color. I was going for exactly whT the OP was goung for and the look is right. But. Has no bevel. Not Into cleaning, the idea of any bevel sounded gross with my not so often cleaning. Wish I had done a micro bevel if it was avail. Didnt even consider and wish I had. Prof install, Karndean is not maybe the best but decent brand......the ends of the planks stick up just a tiny bit. Most noticeable when walking down the hallway as the planks are laid Ling. Really distracting. And of course I can't imagine it not chipping. Really sad, super expensive small new build. Other thoughts, I hate the grain in lvp. although I went with a very minimal grain, again the idea if dirt building up in the grin was gross. But even with minimal grain you notice if you Re sweeping with or against the grain. You have to sweep with the grain. I have soft spots that you can feel give. Drives me nuts. No noise, just give. Btw that and the flex in in the trex I feel like I'm living in a fun house mystery spot. Wish I had gone glue down but assumed it was some cheap way to go. It can be fixed, click cannot. No give.

@Carol McNickols, I didn't read this thread from the beginning. SuperCore Brown Sugar was what I originally picked from samples. After ordering a full box, we changed our entire design scheme. (My husband was SO thrilled - NOT!) We were trying to use our cherry cabinets, and it seemed the Maple Brown Sugar would work, but when we laid out the full box it was SO dark! Decided to have the cabinets painted and get new granite, SO now I had a much broader choice of flooring colors. In the end, we are both really glad it worked out that way, as we used the Supercore Extreme. The extra thickness of the planks and the 5G lock system are absolutely a superior product. (I think they may have Maple Brown Sugar in the Extreme series by now.) The 1st italicized comment here is one of mine. I have cut and pasted more discussions links below - lots to read and think about. LVP to avoid (read if considering Coretec or CaliBambo) and a mystery (houzz.com) All the effort to find the right flooring, in the right color is exhausting! So glad we are done with that chore! We have no vested interest in the company, but we are VERY happy with the Supercore Extreme we installed a couple months ago. We live on a lake, so constant sand and water, 14 adults and 15 grandchildren, plus my husband is still doing trim work, so lots of tools. NOT ONE scratch yet! Also cleans so easy - no haze, no spotting, just clean! I can't speak to any other colors, but the Asheville Extreme is very lightly textured, with a micro bevel. The bevel helped with installation, as it gives a sharp visual so you know it's locked in. Now it's not even noticeable. IIRC, one of the other color samples we received did have a lot more texture, which I don't care for. Alan, from Supercore, has posted here that they have added more colors in the Extreme (8 mm, 5G) Series. We looked at almost all the other brands listed in this thread, but I think we got the best one, given the complaints here. SuperCore WeShipFloors experiences?
