Comments (12)Dee, thank you for the kind words..I followed your advice and looked up your color diva, emailed, waiting for a response. The mirror was money, but not so much of mine. I bought it at an auction and boy was I excited! That's why paint is so important..once that mirror goes up, it will be difficult to get it down. Cam, how did you find that photo? It has all the right elements.bookcases, etc. Nice sleuthing, I love the photo, unfortunately, I don't think I have a wall that would work..no mill work to define it. KMCG your comment is a stroke of brilliance..bring the brown onto the couch to ground it to the floor, where are those pillows from? I am excited to press on, so many good ideas. What do you think about an padded/upholstered coffee table/ottoman? Or a glass coffee table? Thanks again to all!...See More2010 Challenge 'I'm Seeing Stars!'

Comments (3)Rita, I used the plastic shelving units in a closet and found they kinda waste some space, but they are easy to put in and will come out with no problem if you ever want to use the closet for clothes again. Just measure the available space and look for units that match. I installed the closetmaid wire shelving in a walk-in closet. I put them from way up top to almost to the floor on two sides. I did this myself and it is much more "user space friendly"....I mean you can see the stuff and access it easier than with the shelving units. You also don't lose the corner space which can be significant. Just an idea.....and an easy DIY project. Murphy...See MoreHelp us with colours & design for this challenging kitchen upgrade!
Comments (16)a black slate (more of a dark gray) can look great in a modern style kitchen. The wood look tiles though, be careful as some can look rather cheesy. they are fast becoming dated because of this. have you considered some fossilized bamboo? this one from CaliBamboo is one of the better qualities. (they have all colors) https://www.calibamboo.com/product-grey-hardwood-floors-vintage-moonlight-9009008001.html? porcelain tile option or, think about feathering in some of the black hex tiles like this, or doing a cool effect w/lighter and darker tiles in a herringbone. these are the blues, but you could do just the white, or grays/blacks....See Moreturnby
