can’t decide seating arrangements for front porch. Ideas please.

Should I add two chairs and table or a bench and a table ? Also so many options to choose from not sure. Which color? I like cream since I can decorate around it for every season but will it get too dirty? I found this orange ones but not sure of the color during summer ? Found what I like in west elm but too expensive. What’s in these days ? Thanks in advance.

I live in a historic home so I have wicker and rockers on mine! Is it just for looks or will you sit out there? If you sit out there, you need something that is comfortable for you to sit in that looks nice too. The orange would work for all except Spring IMO. As to dirt, yeah, anything that is outside even in a covered area will get dirty. If you sit out there, two chairs and a table between to hold that drink would be nice. If it's just for show, the bench would work as well.

Atlasvi, I can't get your picture open. What am I doing wrong?? I have an old Mac and sometimes it doesn't perform too well....I'd love to see it; does it open for you when you preview it? Sorry to be a pain, but I would love to see what your idea looks like, And Sweeby, so that's what you meant!! I had tried to picture all sorts of "rooflines" and yours is so beautifully simple. I love my front porch! It is the ideal place for my family and I to relax and unwind. I am a huge fan of porch swings! In my opinion, a porch is just not complete without one! I actually just purchased a new one from backyardcity.com. They had low prices and free shipping on lots of swings so you might want to check them out. I like the green in Tibb's second picture above, and would like to see that, darkened just a tad, with the same color woodwork and garage door. The white windows are very distracting and detract from the pleasing natural appearance of the home. If nothing else I would paint the frames.

Oh, bee stool is really cool! Yes, I might get that. Thanks, Annie! Busybee, I go wherever. I'm also a dog sitter and often have jobs in the summer, so I go and stay with dogs in their own homes, or friends/family, I have wonderful clients who offer their homes or vacation homes to me....all works. nutsaboutplants, interesting perspective. I'm not thrilled with the BM Whitall brown, wish I'd gone with a warmer brown, but I think the bees will look great with it, actually. Pine ceiling, brown walls...very woodsy, so I think perfect for bees!

Something you can hose off when it gets soiled that has mildew resistant indoor/outdoor fabric.

Thanks a lot for the replies. We do plan on sitting here so definitely want something comfortable. Are there any other kind that would go better with this front porch ? Any idea / suggestions on table ?
