Comments (2)Ah! Thank you! Also, the H. undatus cutting provided me a big surprise! Thanks for getting a link in there! I'm not yet sure how to post images any other way, but I'm glad I can get them up anyway!...See MoreRecent blooms from Music City
Comments (21)FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN will end up in my garden one of these years. I passed it up last year because I was looking for more mid-late bloomers. I now need more early-mid bloomers! (I'm never satisfied.) Your photo is gorgeous! FREUDIAN SLIP with its beautiful patterns is eye candy to me, for sure, also going on my list. I have a question about Butter Dish. I see you call it a layered double, and Tinkers calls it a dbl dbl. So is it safe to say it's a hose-in-hose dbl? Anyway, I'm not a fan of doubles except when they're the neatly formed hose-in-hose types, so Butter Dish is my kind of dbl DL! Thanks for posting your beauties! Comments (21)Hi Mike, You might find Best in Class as actually much nicer than the picture. And this is the newly planted bloom. I can only imagine how it will look once it gets established. I am also eagerly anticipating Bill Maryott's future intros. It is beginning to look like we haven't seen anything yet. Bj...See MoreRecent experiences with Cambria Jewel Collection - Parys or others
Comments (8)we just had the Charston installed and it's AMAZING. I'm really happy with it. My one disappointment was that there are some white spots in it that I wasn't expecting, but they aren't big and I've gotten used to it. Order yourself a larger sample because the small ones don't do it justice. The depth is amazing - it's like layers of the blue flecks and this sort of lacey subtle brown in the black. My photos don't do it justice but I will attach a couple anyway. Here's an overview photo. It mostly looks black, which I like because I was a little afraid of doing something too off the wall - with the blue. So I like it that it mostly reads black until you get close. Here's my side bar area with a closeup. The photos really don't do it justice. I took this one specifically because the sun streaming in the doors was making the blue flecks positively glow, but the photo doesn't show it. this is a closeup of my two largest white spots. There are smaller ones randomly around so I don't think this was really a flaw, but the one is large enough that I kept thinking there was a crumb on the counter until I got used to it. One thing that I find great is that you don't see the dirt. People say that black counters show every speck of dirt but with the variation, nothing shows up. I almost have the opposite problem, I have to tilt my head to get the glare to show me the spills. no pitting at all, although there is one spot on an edge where I think the cut was lined up just perfectly so that one of the blue flecks was cut in half and you can sorta feel it with your fingernail. It's not a big deal, but I can see how some of the other gem ones with the larger crystals might have that problem more often. Of course I've only had it for about 3 months....See MoreAnn9BNCalif
