Corner Fireplaces so tv can be centered or tv over fireplace?
Comments (11)I am having the same difficulty. I would like to put the fireplace in a corner (I personally don't like having the TV off to the side on the same wall. In theory I would like it on a corner, but my room is all windows on one side, an a straight wall that joins a hallway so I'm not sure how that would would. As for it being too high, my current plan is to get a very comtemporary low fireplace. Currently we have a similar set up and while the TV is a bit higher than I like it (maybe 6 or 8 inches) with it tilted downwards it has never felt uncomfortable. Some inspiration pics: I'd prefer this without the inset TV as you never know what size you may buy in the future. I like the fireplace closer to the floor! Comments (3)I hate corner FPs too. You will need to see how much it will cost to remove and redo a FP on thet wall where you have the TV now. Is the FP gas now? I agree about the need for storage since IMO all those toys need a home I do not think TV above a FP is a good plan but I guess I needt o know if this FP is a must for heating or only for looks . If the latter then look at elecric FPs more linear and then the TV coulld go above and still be at close to proper viewing height. Look at Besta from Ikea it is perfect for this application if you go electric IMO if you want that TV then the FP is a no go . How long it that wall that would be helpful. I am not sure how old the childs is but those large plastic ply things belong in a space not in the LR so maybe pull one out for playing and then it goes away at night all the little stuff can have a home in the Besta storge that can go under the TV and even have a bit of display if you wanted. These are 2 options that would work...See MoreI need help with TV size over fireplace

Comments (2)I think the mirror you love looks too heavy for that space. Could it be used in your entry? I like this mirror with a slim frame and arch that echos your entry on the right. How about an artful display of books in colors that complement your brown brick? A bit of black on the mantel decor will serve to tie it into the black TV and firebox....See MoreZach S
