Beautiful. I like becky2010's basket. If the outlet and towel bar weren't there, I would have suggested a vintage painted cabinet of some kind. Something practical for storage.

I also love plants everywhere-but that's also a question of whether you have enough light. Even though some plants are close to being indestructible. Or you can have the said cane palm)) Or I know the site that makes cool papier mache flowerpots..they might be too funky, but if one falls in love with something like this, why not.

You don't have to fill it..you'll have towel there too, close to the spot. You will put art on the wall. but you might want to, for storage or just your own amusement.

I voted for "leave it empty" - wait and see if you want storage, after you have the towel hanging, the art work hanging, and after you've used the room for a few weeks. You will know then if you need storage. If you don't need storage, I would leave it empty.

of course you would need to remove that towel bar first.

I would move the garbage can next to the toilet so the initial view is just of your lovely vanity. Hang towels on the wall rack and call it done. It's beautiful as is.
