Comments (3)if it's the tall purple variety WATCH OUT!! It's a garden thug. It will spread by SPITTING its seeds out across the yard and it will grown in sun and shade and good dirt and bad dirt and every nook and cranny. Can you tell I made that mistake a few years ago? I'm still pulling it out--and even that's not easy. It's not so much a matter of pulling as it is of digging or using Roundup... the tall pink clumping variety seems much less invasive as well as the low-growing clumping variety. But watch out for the tall purple ones. Plus I've yet to see a hummer on mine either... --Jane in BR,LA...See More- 4 years ago
