I want ... believe it or not ... a shower stall with a step up and with a shower curtain. I am so sick of glass shower doors! I wonder if someday we will look back on them and ask why we did so many. I am going for a reverse snobbism look. Shangahi, I love that yellow one! I always love symmetry. Really nice with the tiny tile feels ... "timeless". I like the glass with black muntins, everywhere in a house actually, but not sure it fits. Well if you don't want to move any fixtures, there's not a lot you can do to fix the layout. The suggestions of two bathrooms is good, but would require quite a bit of plumbing work and cost. Are you looking for more of a basic remodel without major changes? In that case, first replace the pedestal sink with a full vanity. That pedestal sink just looks lost in such a big space. That space between the toilet and bathtub could be filled with a large towel warmer. Alternatively, you can put an open shelving unit there to help fill the space. With the walls being just huge expanses of drywall, use some sort of wainscoting (or tile to wainscot height) to help break it up. Are you considering replacing the tub? With that much floor space, you could put in a much bigger unit and do so with fairly minor plumbing work (unless it's concrete floor). If you are looking to create more privacy for the toilet without moving it, you would want to remove and close off the door to the bedroom. Shift the hall door over closer to the sink side. That will give you more room to close off the toilet with walls. Otherwise a basic, temporary fix would be to use a screen/room divider on one side of the toilet, assuming you can get the aesthetics to work with how you decorate the rest of the bathroom.

Oh, I agree...no fun to make decisions under pressure, but it feels like thats been the story of this build...Ive learned so much and it feels like 80% has been under a deadline...so am considering trying to figure out the paint stuff tomorrow-or at least take a guess...the walls are so small it wouldnt take much to repaint if needed-Thanks so much for the suggestions of those colors...I just looked them up--I really like both of them. They do look clean/fresh. The laundry room will basically be filled up with the rustic hickory cabinets (lowers along the sink wall- a silgranite sink (blanco laundry sink) which I'll need to choose a color for as well---thinking something of a medium to darker shade just b/c it will be easier to keep clean), & then upper cabinets on the washer/dryer wall) with a quartz countertop (doing granite in kitchen, but figure quartz will be easier to maintain in laundry room)-color tbd...that will take up the log/sink wall and the right/garage door wall....the opposite 'longer' wall we are planning to build a bench/cubbies 'mud room' type piece that will run along that wall...perhaps paint/stain that. There will be a light (pendant or semi flushmount) over the sink, and a flushmount mid room in front of the washer/dryer-oil rubbed bronze and frosted glass. I was also thinking about putting some simple, maybe live edge shelves to the left and right of the window, or maybe those could have some color too. We're doing most of the finish work ourselves & are both working full time--nothings been ideal about this build & I know I should have these things picked out by now- this is my first house I've even owned (I've always rented & have moved A LOT-so maybe have painted a wall or two, but never had the opportunity to design/paint/etc anything from scratch...its a gift, a challenge, and outside my comfort zone all at the same time. :)

Most commenters would love a photo. If you don’t want to replace anything, but then you want to spend $750 replacing the countertop and faucet, you have me confused. Why not just paint the walls and trim, replace the shower curtain and put a new mirror in?
