Crosby, Stills, and Nash was my first real band in my teens. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes is my favorite song of all time. I can do a mean harmony in the car.

If I thought it would not get flagged, I would have chosen the Fixin' to Die Rag by Country Joe, but the chant at the start, well, you know...Then, thought of Arlo "Coming into Los Angeles," but again, could have some content that would not be approved. Janis? Her intro chatting had language that would be frowned upon by many. Sigh. So, here we are. Skip to the :20 second mark

How about a little Joe Cocker? Best video from Woodstock I could find is 'Let's Go Get Stoned' but 'Just Like a Woman' is my favorite.

Amazed that they pulled off such quality recordings. I was 10 at the time and I remember a friend's brother had tried hitchhiking but didn't make it. He was in highschool and got in big trouble with the "rents" when he made it back home. Yeah he was really cool and I had a crush on him!!

There is another thread, where I posted.

A local public radio station, available online, WXPN is playing the entire 38 CD set of
Woodstock, every single cut, and at the time at which it was originally
played.

Late to the party, but this seems appropriate. I understand Joni Mitchell missed the concert, but wrote this as a wistful tribute:

I have been listening to XPN's streaming off and on since it started. Joe Cocker singing "Just Like a Woman" now. Gosh, I love his versions of so many classics.

Grew up outside Philadelphia, lived there through the 80s too when my son was little (basically most of my life come to think of it) and am a member of XPN-it is the station at Penn (University of Pennsylvania). I stream their Sleepy Hollow on weekend mornings now that I can't listen to it on the radio. Give it a try. Best station in the country.

Man - what a lineup, eh? I can't imagine too many folks there actually got to take in every single performance...?
