My first thought is that if you think people need a place to sit for shoe removal, then get a bench instead of the console. I like the one you have in the space, but don't really see people pulling out a stool and putting it back.

All of it looks a bit small scale for the space and the height of the ceilings; especially in relation to the entry door which looks quite overscale. How much space is available when the closet door is open against that wall?

I only have 12” depth which isn’t enough for a comfortable bench. I’m thinking maybe one or two little stools.
Ceiling is 10’, so lots of room. Maybe a taller mirror?

Some suggestions. I love the sunburst mirror, but think it might be too small for the scale of your foyer.

Have you considered a shelf with brackets or a built-in almost the width of that nook? Then you’d have room to add a lamp, vase of fresh flowers, etc. without the cluttered look.

The current console and the items on top look like an altar IMO, and they seem quite lost.

Has anyone bought a Ruggable rug? I like the idea that they are machine washable. Need a bigger rug for the foyer, and am considering one. Honest reviews would be appreciated!

Rug looks great and nice with the table. I'm afraid the new mirror choice really doesn't go with the table (style or color). I think you need a lighter finish mirror to go above that light table and a bit more modern.

I like the inlay style mirror Bev shows. It adds a little visual interest as well as being functional. The arched mirror is very commonplace and doesn't stand out, IMO.
