Major HELP needed on choosing dining room paint colors
Comments (1)What else do you have going on in this room, as far as draperies, any art work, a carpet, chair cushions, your furniture? Also, what style do you like; country, traditional, contemporary? Also, if you care to, you can post over on the "Discussions" side and get more input. (You can post pictures there as well when you are asking for help, in fact, you will probably get more responses!)...See MoreLiving room is open to dining room and entry way
Comments (29)Beautiful rooms and paint color, minuscule. I will have a look at BM Silver Mist. I like the Accessible Beige but Dear Husband does not. He says it looks dirty. It exactly matches some of the tones in the flooring and is nearly identical to the fireplace surround, and extremely close to the couch color, which would make the couches sort of disappear and an accent wall color for the fireplace wall necessary. SW Accessible Beige on top, SW Creamy on the bottom. SW Creamy is really yellow. Too yellow. Such a tall wall. Was thinking about adding some trim like this (not in Georgian style because mine is not a Georgian style house) to break up the blankness a bit. I will look at BM Silver Mist and for something slightly lighter than Healing Aloe. Dear Husband liked the look of BM Constellation...See Morehelp!!! I need to choose a colour to go in my living-room /dining-room
Comments (25)Sounds like a fireplace re-do might be a longer-term fix. In the meantime, I'd paint the mantle a dark brown, a similar colour to your end tables. It's not trim and shouldn't be white. It pops out too much in the white colour. Another idea that doesn't involve any ripping-out is to go right over the existing mantle using a mantle slipcover in wood. Here's one of many how-to's on the internet. If you stained your brick as well, you could have a whole new look. https://www.fwmadebycarli.com/2011/01/making-of-slip-covered-mantel.html...See MoreHelp needed: What size mirror for entry way table?
Comments (34)Wow, great suggestions and advice! Thank you everyone for the help and inspo. I will be keeping the same style entry table, but I am open to purchasing the 70 inch version if the mirror I ultimately select calls for a slightly larger console. I really do like the vertical looks vs hanging horizontal, so I will be looking for new mirrors that better suit the table. I also like the idea of adding scones, but will need to hire someone for electrical work and I will wait on that. I love the formal living room mock up! My table is similar except it’s all glass, so I’ll see how it works once it gets delivered. I also like the idea of adding a lamp to the corner and I the linen drapes on black rods. Thanks everyone for the advice! This community is so helpful. We closed on our house 4 months ago and started completely over with furniture so forgive the stock photos and horrible builder lighting fixtures....See MoreRelated Professionals
