Warren only trails Biden by 3 in this new poll. Bernie is next, trailing Biden by 7. Then there is quite a drop for the rest of the field.
What about this poll?
More than half of Americans say Trump is racist, including 80% of African-Americans, a new poll found
Deleting post as it no longer makes sense since 6064 deleted hers.......which was a good call on her part.
One poll is just that, one poll. Let's see how is trends this week. My take is that the Democratic primary voters care less about his gaffes than the right and the media do. Joe is Joe.....
Having said that , I expect to see Warren make more and more gains...which is a credit to her more so than a result of Biden slipping.
When I first notice Warren (some time ago), I agreed with many of her positions and was glad a woman was stepping forward onto the national stage, but I also had trouble taking her too seriously. She seemed too flighty--lacked gravitas. Seemed kind of "little girlish" at times.
But she has definitely improved--matured?--in the past couple years, and she is becoming quite an impressive presidential candidate. At the moment, I'm inclining more and more in her direction. Now she just needs to convince me that she has the breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in global issues.
None of this subtracts from Biden. He still is who he is. I'm not expecting reveals from him.
Kate, I think she's an impressive candidate too. She really believes in her positions, has enthusiasm and energy, etc. Her positions are the opposite of mine, but I understand why she is rising in the polls among those who support the positions she believes in.
Warren has been gaining steam in nearly all polls, but this poll really shows her gains as especially impressive. Biden has had a good lead, but IMO, his gaffes are just too extreme and too frequent at this point, and it's looking like more than gaffes and real confusion seems to have entered the picture (clearly just my opinion). I thought he was going to be able to hold on, but the last week or so has been really really rough for him IMO. I honestly don't think Biden is tracking very well anymore. He seems just too mixed up. Age hits everyone in different ways, as there are some that remain super sharp and quick even into their 90s. But others begin to slow down mentally and, in some cases, dramatically. I'm now feeling like Joe might be in the latter category (not the dramatic category yet, but maybe getting there).
We'll see . Iowa's primary voters, when asked , said it was just Joe being Joe and weren't that concerned with his gaffes. Republicans and the media are making more of it than the voters are.
I do know that most Republicans would prefer Warren as the candidate over Biden...but they don't get to choose. As I said we'll see.....
While I think Warren would make a good President I think the bias in this country would keep her from being elected. I have to agree about there being something off with Biden. To me none of the other candidates are ones that I would like to see in this office.
"I do know that most Republicans would prefer Warren as the candidate over Biden...but they don't get to choose. As I said we'll see....."
Well, I'm a conservative registered as unaffiliated, and I definitely get a primary vote that will count every bit as much as any Democrat's vote in my state.

Interesting comment, maifleur. Do you mean bias about a woman as president or issues with her policy?
Bias as a woman. Every candidate has policy's that are objectionable so while I like some other policy's are not things that I would like to see implemented.
Whew, my goodness for Biden. Time to minimize his time in public.
Wonder who the" ally" was?
"Biden has a tendency to make the blunders late in the day, his allies say, particularly after a long swing on the road, like he had last week in Iowa. They say something needs to be done to give the candidate more down time as the campaign intensifies in the fall."
Maybe an afternoon nap would help reduce his late day blunders.
Not sure I would call someone who would leak something like this, if it's even true, an "ally".
ooops edited .....
""A lot of people are nervous that he's lost some of his mojo," said one major Democratic donor. "They're getting nervous about him going toe to toe with Trump. But the problem is, there doesn't seem to be an alternative.""
Yup, most of them came out with what appears to many Americans as socialist agendas. That problem was instantly recognizable as they began to roll out their campaigns.
"Not sure I would call summert7ime who would leak something like this, if it's even true, an "ally"."
Huh, I've no clue what this means.
The latest Hill poll shows Biden + 15..... . As I said, any one poll is just one poll.
Chase, what the heck is summert7ime? I'm still trying to figure that one out.
Ann, scroll up just a bit.
deleting original post... true but not worth the distraction.....
Sorry for asking twice. I see what it means now. I hadn't scrolled back to check your original post, Chase. When I got home, I started with my question thinking I was caught up to that point. Then I saw Ziemia's comment to scroll up and now I get it. Thanks Ziemia.
Ziemia, do you have any clue what happened to the Recession thread we were on this morning? I was gone all afternoon and now it's gone. I did notice the market had a bit of a gain today, but it was fairly steady most of the day.
Also not a lot of squawking about inverted curves.
Nope - it just disappeared. Emily was around soon before it did - maybe ask her?
Oh, I'm glad Emily is back. One of the threads recently said she was out of town. I'm glad she's back.
Can't imagine what was wrong. Last I read it , it was pretty benign.
I didn't see any thread that said Emily was out of town......how would anybody even know that?
Ann Kate, I think she's an impressive candidate too.
You do? She is a bimbo with ''free everything'' promise. Today was a new one - cheap transgender surgeries. Probably that's why her points went up.
Never heard a word from her on how does she plan to benefit average people, (read not important no ones) - not gay/trans, not minorities, not illegal aliens. Not a word. Or, besides raising taxes - thanks, but no, thanks.
Margaritadina, I totally agree about Warren's policy! I think all of it is disastrous, but have you watched the debates? So many of them are portraying America as being in a weak and depressed situation. It's just not. Joe doesn't even want to speak because he can't handle a debate or even keep his ideas straight in his mind. He just wants his time to be up and he seems to prefer to not to be addressed at all (by moderators or other candidates). Warren is energetic and clear in her ideas (and I'll agree they are miserable ideas). But, if I believed in what she supports, I think I'd see her as the best of the group.
But, don't worry, my vote will go to Trump and I'd vote for him 1000 times if I could! I think he's doing a great job for America.
Ann, the Democrats have to paint America as depressed and weak. Look at the hysteria yesterday over the curve inversion. It's like they've all read "The Secret" and are trying their best to invoke a recession. If you say it, it will come.
Meanwhile, Trump is taking on China after years of them stealing our tech. That's no easy task, given China is basically a commie nation which doesn't give a rip about its people.
We have a great economy, jobs, peace and someone who is firmly planted in America's corner, putting America first and who keeps pushing the rock uphill for us.
I'm thankful and will vote Trump for another 4 years.
The haters can buckle up.
