Need help finding a comparable sofa...
Comments (3)mochanoel---have you looked at the Berne website? I have a sectional and a chair made by Berne. The quality is/was outstanding for the price. We've had it for 8-9 years or so. It's still as solid as the day it arrived, and we still love it. It's in our family room so is used a lot. Have you called any of their other dealers? A few years ago I called the number on the website. "Diane" was extremely helpful. Also curious about what state you're in. I live in IN, but never heard of the company until I was in IL. Please tell me this isn't the one that was discontinued. I was thinking about something along these lines for my next furniture purchase--hoping for different fabric and legs. Comments (0)Can anyone suggest where I could find brightly colored sofa/chair furniture? My family room is a cheery yellow with bright white trim and accent pieces. I have a channel back accent chair in white with blue trim and the curtains are a small cabana style blue/white stripe. The shears are white but have a leaf pattern. I love it all EXCEPT the sofa and armchair. The sofa I had recovered a few years back in a (I think) pretty stripe of blues/yellows that also has leaves running up the stripes. Hmmm. sounds horrible when I type it but I love it except for the fact that it is getting a little worn and that the last time I had cushions redone they screwed them up. The artwork is images people in in San Diego settings or near the beach. Several Steve Hanks pieces and Mary Helmreich, if you know them. Anyway - point is - I'm trying to keep a breezy, casual california coastal type feeling. Which means I do NOT want DARK furniture, but that seems to be all I find. Well, except for the pure white or canvas - but there are lots of teen boys in the house. And black lab. Not a good fit with white furniture. Where could I look? Or does this exist?...See MoreNeed help finding this sofa!
Comments (4)Styles including furniture and clothing has a history of what was once old is new again, usually every 30 years or so. This sofa, looks are just that, its not a sofa you can comfortably sit on everyday. As to keep those curves and tight edge requires a very firm fitting (almost rock hard) seat and back. A sofa with either a loose or semi-attached seat and back pillows will be very comfort as you can adjust the filling to be from very soft to very firm. Unlike this style their is no adjusting for this....See MoreModern Bohemian
Comments (3)Why not try a modern boho look? Blacks and whites, touches of camel and wood, art on the walls, real plants. You can have the best of both worlds....See Moretksjbl
