Design Interior South had a great idea. I painted my son’s north facing room Hale Navy and it looks amazing! Sometimes it’s better to paint a dark room dark rather than have the north light muddy a lighter color. It would definitely go with your color scheme!

I am painting my other guest bedroom Newburyport bc the furniture is white.

well I had to make a decision this morning so going with Carolae's suggestion of Whispering Springs. It really is a beautiful color. I appreciate everyone who took the time to help me with their suggestions.
I went to the paint store and looked at all of them and many I loved, especially the bold colors but the room is very dark and I felt a lighter aqua color was best. I also saw that color and felt it was very peaceful.

What about yellow? Ben Moore Hawthorne is a pretty yellow. You could then bring in light furniture and add white, aqua and navy bedding, or even gray to the mix as gray also pairs well with yellow. Here it is with the paint colors you've mentioned

oh I misunderstood - the way you phrased it sounded like you wanted a color similar/match, not a coordinating color. tans, browns, navy, even eggplants and yellows would look lovely with the right undertones.

NEG that photo is on Houzz. When I click more info it takes me to the project but doesn't have the color listed. You can however try to ask the designer what color it is if you go to the project. Hope this helps. In all honesty it looks like Quiet Moments which was going to me my next suggestion to you of just placing it in the bedroom as well since it falls as your neutral. That or SW Sea Salt is another possibility. BTW and speaking of sea salt, Valspar makes a color called Sea Salt that falls more on the blue spectrum than the green/gray that is just lovely. These would all be possibilities for you should the one you have not turn out as planned.

Whispering Spring looks pretty even in a room with little natural light. There’s enough blue in it that it doesn’t look muddy or gray in low light. One of the bathrooms I used it in has one window that is very close to a large hill that blocks daylight, and the other bathroom is an attic bathroom with only a small skylight.

Whispering Spring looks like a beautiful color. You can use deeper shades of color in the bedding and artwork.

I was considering these and will have to see if they match the wall color once it is painted.

For a child's room, you may want bedding with more contrast to the walls - a little brighter and more fun.

Honestly you need to get a pint and try it on the walls. A small chip will not tell you what it will really look like.

The painter was in today spraying the primer. I will tell him to put a small amount on the wall and let me see how it looks. If I do not like it I will get something else. I do not want to get in their way or mess up what they are doing and the sprayer puts out heavy fumes. Thank you for the suggestion!

I think the pillows on your bedding set are cute. I think you can get more interest and a custom look by using just the accent pillows and mixing them in with some other bedding. Maybe do solid aqua duvets or white duvets and then fold a blue and white striped quilt on the foot of each bed and a blue striped sham. Mix it up! It will be cheery against your light walls and add some dimension. This quilt is from PB Teen. I mixed a sham from the set you shared and a pillow.

Just an FYI for everyone- Bed Bath & Beyond printed coupons (not the ones that are emailed) never expire! I have used printed coupons for in-store purchases that are 10 years old, lol! (I keep them in a bag and never bother to use the oldest ones first.) If you sign up for their emails they will email you coupons too (but those do expire and do so rather quickly, and they don’t email you a new one until the current one expires).

Quiet Moments for a bedroom is a great choice. Don't select linens that are strictly for kids. They will feel so special if their space at your your home is unique and not "kiddie" Don't make selections based on their current age unless you expect to keep replacing the items as they grow.

Not that the colors of linens below would work with the Quiet Moments, but the linens are good for both boys and girls

Bev the main areas of my one level open floor plan will be painted in Quiet Moments. This bedroom will be painted in Whispering Spring and will be off the hallway painted in Quiet Moments.
I am currently only buying the pillows that are in the set posted above as they are fun and beachy (I live 5-10 minutes from the beaches).
I plan on buying something gender and age neutral for the comforter/quilts thanks to the smart advice and suggestions given. This is what I love about the forums!

Thank you Carolae for the suggestion! If there was more light I would have gone bolder but this was perfect. I really really love it and DH does as well. He does not like the Newburyport Blue in the bedroom that has creamy white bedroom furniture. I've never done a dark color before in any of my homes. This is the first coat.

I think that is lovely as well and I think once you get your furnishings in there it wont seem to suck the light like it does when the room is empty. White drapery panels at the windows your lighter furnishings and beddings will pull it all together.

I have a suggestion for a different dark blue color. Benjamin Moore Summer Nights (777) is a “warmer” dark blue that leans slightly green (but is definitely still blue and not teal) and your husband might like it better than Newburyport Blue, unless he just doesn’t like the look of dark walls. We haven’t had a dark wall color until recently, when I had the family room in our new home painted Summer Nights. My husband didn’t like the idea of dark blue walls at first, but he got used to it. (We haven’t moved yet and I don’t have a photo to show you.)

I found these quilts 50% off at BB and B. Thought they would look nice in the kids twin room.I like both sides of the quilt. Pillow below shows reverse side. I bought a euro sham in that pattern.

Back to life and back to reality. Got my makeshift kitchen up and running today, but our dog doesn’t know what to do now that his kitchen is gone. Thank goodness he loves my husband’s office! 1 week down, 5 more to go!
