Pool deck sends water under house

Purchased this house in March and now realize there are some drainage issues which keep the basement and garage damp. One is the concrete pool pad. It slopes sharply towards the house. The roof on that side has a long exposure so quite a lot of water hits that pad and then drains towards the house. There are small drains there but they are overwhelmed AND just take the water down the slope to the front of the garage where it backs up and creeps in along the side. There is an old wooden deck over the concrete pad and we will pull it down the summer. As we discuss it’s replacement I am wondering if anyone has experience sloping a concrete pad TOWARDS a pool? Beyond that, could it slope laterally away from house and pool? Pool is caged so we aren’t worried about debris, and it is easier to drain excess water from pool than anywhere else.
