Need Help with Exterior Entry Door Selection
Comments (7)Thanks for the follow-ups. I am definitely expecting to spend some $$ on the project; want a nice look with quality door(s). I think I'd prefer the look of double doors again, even though it would be more expensive. Was thinking of Mahogany (real wood), but several of you guys mentioned fiberglass doors. I checked them out, and would prefer the Jeld-Wen vs. Therma-Tru for this house. But, wouldn't wood still look better? Without an overhang, I noticed that wooden door manufactures won't give you a warranty. Does that mean I shouldn't use a wooden door? Thanks!...See MoreI need help selecting the entry door color.
Comments (4)Thank you for your response Petesmom. You are right, the areas below the shaker aren't complete. The shingles will be repeated there. We originally selected a dark reddish brown door in Sherwin Williams 2838 Polished Mahogany, but my interior designer thinks that the door will get lost in the dark brick, dark mortar, etc. That made me second guess our decison. Thanks again....See MoreNeed help in rug selection
Comments (30)Thanks JudyG and Kurln:) Judy thanks so much for the info but unfortunately I cant take Motrin or anything with aspirin in it..I have been on blood thinners for 30 years! That’s another story:))) I did buy these amazing socks that you put in the freezer and than slide on your foot...it works so good..cold on top of foot and bottom..so it really hits the right spot..I broke the 5th metatarsal bone..and fractured the 4th one....the 5th is hardest one to heal very little blood flow that is why they needed to add a screw...everyone has been so thoughtful here on Houzz!...See MoreNeed help with hearth rug selection please
Comments (12)Oh MY word........ Please ditch that rug thing? Get him a pair of garden knee pads, and put them out there where you store the wood! Those things are sooooo old lady: ( That's why you only find them in fireplace stores and LL Bean. Nobody wants them. You're not old enough either. You can hide these right in that little log carrier. You can hide a simple kneeling pad in it too!!
