Help, front of house needs updating!
Comments (6)Think about adding shutters to the upstairs windows. Replace the front door with a glass door (maybe reed glass) to go with the glass panels on either side. Windows on the garage doors would also help. The visual weight is on the garage doors, so that’s the first thing you notice on the house. To keep it balanced you need to use three colors on the house . Front door and Shutters the darkest shade.Eaves and window trim lightest colors. The body of the house mid-value. Many paint companies, like Sherwin Williams will have color specialist to help you .Add outdoor lanterns for lighting ,in the 3 spaces by the garage doors....See Morefront of house update this!
Comments (6)Landscaping, or large potted plants since this looks like pavement, would be easy initially and go a long way. If you want want to go beyond that..., to my eye, I would want to bring more focus to entry door to balance the weight , prominence, of the garage. Since everything looks to be the same grade, a porch won't work(?). How about an awning over the door with a simple shape. I'd stick with same color monotone. if the awning has color I think it might look just "stuck on" and not integrated. someone with computer talents could photoshop one on and play with sizing. and color for that matter. still put some plants around near the door. Awning is functional too! Many types and prices, probably you could do something starting around $750, lessthan a thousand for modest but sturdy. I put the "back" of my manufactured house toward the street and adding an awning over the door. Made it look a little more like the "front". (note to Houzzers, LOVE my "trailer ", I don't need to hear any trolling on that topic, and it's paid for.)....See MoreIdeas to update front of house
Comments (5)Your shrubs shouldn't die with good care, so it's important to know what shrubs (were they a good fit for your spot) and why they died (water issues? disease). Without knowing that, it's hard to recommend replacements. If they died of disease, you need to replace them with something that won't be affected to deal with the disease....See MoreHELP!!!! Need to update asymmetrical front of house.
Comments (4)I do not see a big issue with the side walls but you need to fill that space where there should be windows . So easy answer some type of trellis with evergreen type plant . IMO change the place for the closet or put windows in the closets . I love my window in my walk in closet. If these closets are just reach ins just put them on another wall. I guess I need to see the floor plan of the house to understand really where those closets are . Post the to scale plan here in a comment DO NOT start another post .Landscping will be ahuge improvement on curb appeal and for sure some different way to have guests know where the door even is. Are you out in the country or in town? I need more info for sure .Post all info here in comments....See MoreMolly
