no photos loaded

This is really embarrasing, but how do I do that? I go into edit and hit "photo"... The image shows up in my text box, but doesn't post.... (Sorry! First time user)

Your picture needs to be a jpeg and you need to wait until the picture fully loads (it will look like the clear picture you want to post) and then hit submit. It takes pictures a while to load sometimes.

Wait until the image is full color, then submit. (when you upload it's faded until fully loaded)

We are looking at ~$5,000 (before the cost of the door) and below are a few photos below to show a broad view of some designs we like

Here. I added some plantings on the far side of your walkway, for a more finished look, and a couple of more substantial porch lights too.

Would not enclose the sides of the porch.

Knowing what style door you want would help. Are you interested in a door with wood finish instead of a painted door?

You might consider removing the entire porch roof and pillars -- but leave the forward facing gable over the upstairs window -- to create a new porch roof just below upstairs window, then make your new porch posts compliment your door -- perhaps an all wood look for both.

Another option might be to use the same wood look you use for your door and porch posts for your upstairs shutters -- or remove the shutters altogether (rather than replacing them) and add wider wood framing around your upstairs windows -- white or the same wood look as your new door.

Perhaps you could saw off and clad the posts you have to do this.
