This is exactly what we are doing. We're still in the design phase, but getting close to ordering the cabinets. Our cabinets will be a glazed white maple. We're doing a SS apron sink with a glazed butterscotch or caramel colored sink cabinet. We're going to do a cabinet panel on the dishwasher. We're trying to make the sink stand out and be more of a focal point. It looks nice on the computer images. There will also be a bookcase in the same butterscotch/caramel wood tone.

The kitchen needs to play well with the elements of the house you are keeping like floors, existing trim, other rooms, etc. do you have some pictures?

I am a total 100W girl with 5k in my kitchen. I try to get all my clients do the same as the kitchen really needs bright bright lighting. Easy on the eyes and so much more functional. Good luck, hope this helps
