Calibamboo (or other hardwoods) in low humidity?

I love the Calibamboo Eucalyptus, but whether I go with that or something similar, I really want a hardwood floor - and most people in my area have hardwood floors.

But I'm concerned about the humidity. In the winter it regularly hovers around 10% outside. I think I've heard it's usually a little more humid inside (because of using sinks, laundry, etc?) - but I don't think it's going to be up at the recommended levels?

Just how bad is low humidity on hardwood, and is there any way to make it work, short of installing a whole-house humidifier? I really want to use radiant floor heat, so the whole-house humidifier isn't really practical, unless I switch to forced air.

What alternative types of flooring are tolerant of low humidity?

I haven't heard anyone in my area complain about any humidity-related issues with their hardwood flooring, but of course that doesn't mean they aren't having any issues.
