how to chose rug size for dining room & living rooms.
Comments (4)When you say the rug in the living area is going away, do you mean the w/w carpet is going to be taken away everywhere we see it in the picture? Is there hardwood under the carpet or what will be there? Leaving about a foot of space between an area rug and the wall is a good look. I prefer big rugs in big spaces, especially under a dining table. Too small, and with a table and chairs on top, it looks odd to me. I have a LR and DR spaced somewhat like yours. I have two oriental rugs that complement each other, but they don't match. The space between the rugs is large enough that each (and the room furniture) defines its own area. But if you had two great rugs that matched, I think that would be fine, too. Any links to show us? How about a floor plan to visualize the floor space better?...See MoreConnected dining and living area. Need help with rugs/decor.

There were gold ones with a b&w patterned one in front....See MoreNeed advice on rug for 14x 18 living room with adjoined dining room
Comments (4)Thanks so much for your reply. I was trying to coordinate and yet not compete with the adjoining dining room rug which has similar colors but much bolder. If you zoom into the picture below you can see a patch of it in the right hand corner opposing the sofa. Your suggestion are really nice and appreciated. I see that you used a 9x12 rug. Does you think a 10x14 would be too big?...See MoreNeed furniture/rug suggestions - dining room and living room
Comments (11)Hi there - I’m considering Flagstaff Oak and I was wondering if you feel like it looks gray or what is the overwhelming tone? Do you feel it? It is warm at all I’m trying to match some very light cabinets and I’m having trouble. I looked into the Stanton LVP. Your picture is the best when I can fine but it’s still so hard to get a feel for the tone. Any help is greatly appreciated....See MoreDiane Donlin
