Front Door Glass and Sidelights
Comments (6)I keep mine uncovered, as we live on several acres of land in the mountains here, but I have to admit that walking past them in my skivvies still gives me pause sometimes. If I lived in town, those glass sidelights would bother me. Would a frosted glass paint work, I wonder? Something that you could do yourself or hire a professional to do. With yours being leaded glass, I'd hate for you to ruin it with something permanent. I hope someone has a better idea for you. Lynn...See MoreCurtains or Etching for Front Door? Something for privacy!?!
Comments (19)For those of you that used the film, can you see who is at the door? My house seems like grand central station of late, and we took the pinched old fashioned curtains off about a year ago. I have actual curtain panels there now that we close up at night and open during the day. That way we have the privacy at night and during the day we can see who is at the door from the family room without going to the door (which is kind of a pain with child gates). If it is just the mailman, UPS., Fed Ex, etc. then we don't get the door....See MoreFront door privacy help
Comments (24)We have the same dilemma with our sidelight and front door......sick kid army rolling off the couch and all! We live at the end of a quiet street, and rarely get a "stranger" at the door. But my biggest issue is always being "seen" by the neighborhood kids that often come to the door and ask to play. Sometimes my kids don't want to play and would rather not answer the door/pretend we aren't home. But the neighbor kid at the door can totally see my kids inside, so that doesn't work. ;-) I love the light we get from the windows, but we are leaning toward the frosted film. Then we can peel it off in 5-10 years when we don't crave as much privacy....See Moreprivacy glass for front door
Comments (9)The door and sidelights are ugly. No idea what would have been your "inspiration" from the photo. Would need to see a proper exterior photo to comment further. But... that is off topic, and you did not ask for feedback on the design, only the privacy aspect of the glass. Quite specific....See MoreAnne Duke
