Color scheme help, replace red roof with black roof? Paint red brick
Comments (2)The first thing I would do is lose the shutters on the windows to the far right and far left. They are much too small. Second thing would be to get rid of the orange/salmon color around the windows. You already stated that you don't like the roof and that color around the windows is just drawing the eye to it. Are you planning to replace the roof? If so, a weathered gray/tan color would look a lot better. Can't tell if the brick has been painted or not. I'm not a fan of painting brick so if it hasn't been painted I would look for a color to paint the siding that "tones down" the brick color. A medium taupe would look good. Comments (12)Your home is just fine. I like the color on it now but I think a different color on the trim and garage doors than bright white would make it work better with the roof. I have a neighbor with a red metal roof which looks great with her stone siding which is shades of golden yellow, amber, tan & cream. It is raining now or I would go grab a picture. I'll try later....See MoreExterior paint color to match red tile roof

Comments (18)You will get a much better return on your home if you landscape it well rather than paint the brick, especially since you plan to only be in the home a short time before you sell. Definitely remove the shutters since your windows are not designed for them. See this brief article on shutters: https://www.lifeofanarchitect.com/residential-architecture-101-shutters/ Back to landscaping and hardscape (your walkway): below is one idea. You would need to get with a local nursery to find out the best plants to use once you have a landscape plan. You can get good ideas in the landscape sub-forum here on Houzz. Just post there for more ideas for your specific home....See MoreHeather
