Comments (15)"Come down, Bill! We have sugar!"... actually think it was Kevin McCarthy... from original Invasion of the Body Snatchers. On back: went to see doctor this morning. After saying I REALLY needed to see a doctor, was asked if I hurt back at work. When I said... maybe, not sure, I don't know?!?... almost a chorus from other side of counter that I'd have to go to a workman's comp doctor. I'm NOT much of a doctor person to begin with but number one concern was STOP THE PAIN... then figure out what the problem is. Had a talk with some sort of non-doctor (PR person) , Explained original injury is 20 some years old, re-injured about 2 years ago, and possibly job connected, I don't know. Explained I wasn't leaving without getting some help and she agreed we had NOT had the conversation, iykwim. Getting an xray and bone density scan on Friday. Doctor said wouldn't be surprised if it was a compression and/or related arthritis... AGE related!! At least doctor wasn't a "kid". Got prescription for Tramadol?? Doctor said not a major, heavy-duty pain med. Coulda fooled me from the literature that came with it! Said dosage was kind of an as needed thing... from 1/2 pill to no more than 2 every 8 hours. Has been about hour and half since taking first dose, so just waiting to see how it goes....See MoreWatching the same movie then and now
Comments (9)There were movies and shows I'd see when I was younger and would enjoy them but enjoyed them more when I was older because I got the jokes or references. I was always afraid to watch Beetlejuice as a kid. I don't like scary movies and thought this was one of them. I'd watch the cartoon though. I did eventually see the movie, and I bought the cartoon box set a few years ago. Halfway into the first episode I thought how was I allowed to watch this? lol When I think about the story line of the cartoon and movie I'd rather not watch it anymore. So I sold the box set I bought. Even certain tv shows affect me differently today. I used to watch a show called Deadly Women. I just thought it was interesting and was curious how people got to that point and such. Now I can't watch it. It just reminds me of how evil people can be and it's upsetting. For some reason hearing about women killing is so much more terrifying....See MoreWatched a real good movie
Comments (9)I wanted to see that movie, so we will. added to the list. Thank you for the recommendation. Son and I love movies so much! He's found a certain fondness for musicals (Dear Evan Hansen brought it on), and I waited until he was home from university to watch La La Land. Last night was the chance to do it. We both loved it! Oh. My point being, look how behind we are. We'll have to make time for Wonder....See MoreWhat Movies and TV shows are you watching?
Comments (135)Actually have been to the movies recently!! Two times in two weeks!! Saw 'Little Women' last week - enjoyed it but it jumped around time-wise a bit and was sometimes challenging to follow. Last night went to see 'Just Mercy' and that was superb!! A true story, it will get you fired up for various reasons. One movie was pure entertainment and the other got you thinking and incensed and involved....See MoreUser
