where to purchase large odd size rug
Comments (1)Not sure if you've found the answer to your problem yet, but having dealt with rugs for a few decades now, the larger odd sizes are becoming more difficult to find. We have to do a lot of our larger sizes (bigger than 10x13) as custom rugs. I'd say look around and see if you can find something ready to go in that size, if not, depending on the type of material you choose for the custom rug, custom rugs may be your best bet!...See MoreOdd size kitchen runner rug -- looking for resources

Comments (3)Is this staged or your stuff? Can you take more pix from different "walls" in the room so we can judge the scale and size of things? This looks like a realty photo with a slight pano to the pix which really distorts the room and furniture....See MoreDesigning living room windows that are odd size
Comments (6)What is your style? I agree that solar shades is the cleanest look (inside mount). They're beautiful, and you can choose how opaque you want them to be. White solar shades cut the glare while keeping the room somewhat bright. They are better for keeping out the heat, but are not as good for TV watching. Black solar shades are better for TV watching, and might look better with your black frame windows. They are not quite as good at keeping out the heat if that's a concern (but still ok-- better than nothing). However, if sun beams directly hit your eyes from where you're sitting, you are going to need something opaque. When angled slightly open, blinds will completely shield you from the glare while still letting some light in. They have decreased in popularity, but they are SO practical. I love them. I think real wood blinds are a classic look that works for many different kinds of decor. The biggest downside though is that for large windows, they can be heavy and a little bulky when raised all the way up. If you think you're going to have them down all the time, then that's not an issue....See Morenjmomma
