There is a huge variety of porcelain and ceramic tiles. And many different whites. I would highly recommend getting a ton of sample tiles and laying them out near your marble subway tile. That way you can find a tile that looks just right for you. I think overall mixing the marble and the ceramic tile will look lovely, as long as you carefully choose a white that compliments the marble. Not sure if you're tiling the floor, but if you are, perhaps you could do your white ceramic on the floor as well and do a trim around the room in the marble. I think this might help tie the tiles together so that the marble looks like a special feature you've added in as an accent.

If the tiles look the same, the difference is about 50% on the price -- That's it! Daltile makes a good-quality tile, and you'd be paying for the nicer showroom if that's the route you choose. There are some other lines of subway tiles that are slightly different -- more handmade looking, or thicker, different colors, more trims. (Emser Classica comes to mind.) But if you're comparing basic to basic, save your money.

OHhhhh!!! Those are some super nice tubs and tiles. I really love that soft, light look. Joyce, your floor and wall tiles are the same which makes a lovely, bright room. Writersblock.......thank you so much for the link to girlcat's remodal. Those bone-coloured tiles look great, not dirty at all. I actually went to HD yesterday and bought a couple samples of white tiles. There were no "bone" ones in sight or I would have picked some up. Dedtired...........again .......gorgeous tile with the white bathtub. Could you tell me what those tiles are called and where you got them. I think that they may also work with my colours. They seem to have a slight variation in colour which is very nice. I also picked up some mosaic tiles yesterday that go really well with the granite counter. I'm just not too sure now if the white tile is too stark a contrast with the mosaics. Here are some pictures of my bathroom in progress. The floor tile colour is REALLY inaccurate. It's more of a greeny, gray brown.......taupe. The wall colour is Ben Moore bleeker beige (HC-80). I find it too dark but I'm not changing it now.....maybe eventually. Here is a picture of the mosaic glass tiles on the counter and the white subway that I'm not sure about. Those mosaics are very similar to dedtired's. White tile on the bathtub ledge. There's hardly any difference in colour.

@AJCN -- thanks for the tip on the Frost grout! Will definitely consider. @GreenDesigns - someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, eh? Take it easy there buddy. We are not home interior design "pros". We sell decorative table linens that we help design in India and import to USA. I was posting regarding a one off request from someone regarding something which we typically don't do asking us for some feedback since we are not interior designers. Thus, I posted on Houzz asking for experience and respectful feedback from professionals (something you lack) that are IN the home design space (as we are NOT). Thanks for the education on the Internet... really needed that. Instead of critizing others, you should re-evaluate your own Houzz profile and your web presence. Your logo isn't very appealing, to say the least...
