The light bulbs you have in the upper hallway are MUCH too blue, you need to exchange those bulbs for a 2700K not a cool white, it looks kind of prison like up there. I like the one closest to us in the photo is looks a little less generic. For the landing fixture can you post a picture looking at it from the top of the stairs, its hard to tell how large the area is. That being said, that giant stacked glass window could handle a large more chandelier like fixture over it, consider how small what is there now looks. So I would go with something much fuller.

Thank you for commenting. I added more pictures and measurements. The chandelier we saw at the store is 24” wide, if we got that one it’d be about 12” from the wall, do you think it’s a good enough gap or should be more? I appreciate all your ideas.

Yes so that means you can really go from 19-24 inches and be safe, I just wouldnt go too big as it will over power the stair well itself.

I think you should go for a larger scale fixture in your stairwell. But choose a light that is airy and you can easily look through. A big solid light would over power the stairwell. Don't make the common mistake of hanging an under scale light.
