Caramel Honey Nut Tart Recipe

I got an email from a prior member who still lurks, if anyone remembers beachlily/Arlene?

Anyway, she was wondering if I was going to post the recipe for that tart, and I'm happy to. I got it from "The Splendid Table" and all I changed was the nuts. I didn't have pistachios or pine nuts, so I used walnuts, pecans, almonds, macadamia nuts and cashews. I think you could use any kind of nut, as long as you keep the amount the same. In fact, I think I would like a little more caramel and fewer nuts, and The Princess thinks I should add some dark chocolate chunks. Chocolate. Always gotta be chocolate, LOL, maybe next time....

So, here's where I got the recipe, and it's amazing. The crust doesn't even have to be rolled, you just press it into the tart pan. I think a springform pan or even a quarter sheet pan could work. The crust is kind of like shortbread, more than pie crust.

It's fast, it's relatively easy and it's good, although not inexpensive. Whipped cream makes it even better. I'm an abysmal failure at caramel and even I didn't over cook this stuff, so probably anyone could do it. No one needs to know how simple it is!
