Mjlb, not worried too much about fading. The room is pretty shaded - probably gets more light and sun in the winter without the leaves on the trees. I am thinking about white covers for summer and red for winter, but also thinking of just doing one set (time constraints) - and then changing out pillows and accessories. Catt, I love that pillow you linked to --- kind of what I had in mind to bring down some of the white from the window and door frames - and agree about the rug. The one I have there now just blends in with the floor. I also think it needs to be larger. I have tried other furniture arrangements over the years and will do so again, but the one there now seems to work the best.

We added a 4 Seasons sunroom last summer. We took out the window in our dining room to the West and put in a french door to the sunroom. The window over my sink also looks out into the sunroom so we just took off the screen and open or close the window depending on whether or not the room is being heated/cooled. Works great as a pass thru or just to talk to family in the sunroom while I work in the kitchen. The sunroom is my happy place. It is 20 x 20 and not an inch too big. I moved my dining table out there and put in all the leaves so I can seat 8 easily. We added a couch with recliners on each end plus another recliner and a LCD 46" TV on the wall (plasma reflects more light than LCD). Another corner is my office with my Grandfather's secretary desk, my computer desk and a lateral file than looks like a beautiful wooden chest. And yes I have several big plants that just thrive out there. We installed a heat pump. It sometimes seems a little noisy but work OK. Full windows are on north and south with a sliding door on the north onto a deck. On the west we have a solid panel across the lower portion and the rest is glass up to trapazoids in the peak. We put a wooden beam down thru the center of the ceiling and covered it with oak beadboard. Beautiful! We added 2 ceiling fans that were a must. Each set of windows has one side that slides open so we can get wonderful breezes thru when we want to. We live in the country and enjoy every minute in our room. I have watched turkey right outside the window while I ate breakfast, as well as rabbits, geese, bluebirds, etc. Yes, I am in my sunroom right now!

Hi Lori Sawaya, I have been reading this thread with interest because I have been trying to find a Benjamin Moore yellow to replace a light yellow that has been in my living room for over twenty years. It is a yellow paint color an acquaintance used in her house that was a custom-match (to what I do not know) in Coronado paint. I, and everyone else that likes yellow, really like this yellow, but I would prefer to use Benjamin Moore paint when we repaint. When we originally painted the room, I tried to have our Benjamin Moore dealer custom-match the yellow and it was a poor match, so I ended up using the Coronado paint. I have recently tried a dozen, or so, Benjamin Moore yellow Color Samples (on Mighty Boards, rather than on the wall) and the closest matches in terms of value? are Weston Flax HC-5 and Goldtone OC-112, although they are a tiny bit more grayed down (which I like because they look better with the other Benjamin Moore paint colors in my house). The hue? (color) is somewhere between Weston Flax and Goldtone. I found your Munsell Color Notations for BM Off-White Colors and it places the hue for Goldtone at Y 2.59. Pale Moon is at Y 4.10, which may be the closest to Weston Flax. If you could provide the notations for Weston Flax I would really appreciate it (I am also curious what they are for Windham Cream HC-6 and Hawthorne Yellow HC-4, to compare with Weston Flax). Goldtone seems a bit too peachy with my upholstery (a linen print with a muted yellow/flax colored background), so I am tempted to try Weston Flax first, although the room faces north and I am a bit afraid it will show a green cast. I have considered Summer Harvest, but haven’t bought a sample of it because I was afraid it would be a bit tan like some of the more muted yellows I tried. Hello again -- The sunroom is located on the west side of the house and has 5 - 150ish year old live oaks approximately 100 feet in front of the room with their canopy high over the room. It will be in dappled shade throughout the day, it is very close to the water and has wonderful marsh breezes. It is such a splendid view I would like the sunroom to be worthy of overlooking that view! I love more formal look but we are not afraid of getting comfortable. The rest of the house will be a mix of antiques and "clean lines" furniture, white and softer shades of upholstery, french oak floors and I'm hoping to use unique cement tiles in some of the utility rooms. Our neighborhood is coastal, but I don't want to follow a particular type of design. I prefer a more ecletic look but do want the rooms to flow well and speak to one another. The sunroom will probably be our favorite room (as the view is the best) so I would like it to feel and look more special. Does this help? Thank you all-- Keep the ideas and comments coming!
