need exterior advice. what to do with brick, garage color
Comments (9)To me the last pic looks somewhat dark and gloomy. I wouldn't paint the brick...looks nice to me. What is the true roof color...light or medium gray? My choice would be to keep the siding light. Paint the garage door the same color as the siding. That will keep it less of a focal point....See MoreExterior Brick Types Advice for Steel Sided House Advice?
Comments (6)If you are going to do a stone foundation, use large format stones that actually look like they could be the foundation, not the fake looking ledger stone on so many houses. This is what I'm thinking. A company called Eldorado Stone has good looking stone products. While some are small, there are many that are larger. Comments (4)I don’t think you should be trying to make the house lighter and brighter. The pink brick is down that job. Maybe try to make it look more sophisticated instead? I wouldn’t paint the brick simply for upkeep reason.. I would paint all the trim, and the garage doors and the front door black. This black looks like B.M Iron Mountain. Odd that side of the house isn’t brick…actually it doesn’t look finished. Is it too different material…clapboard and cement? Finish it off....See MoreBrick ranch built '59, need exterior look advice
Comments (7)Remove the shutters. I am not a fan of painting brick, especially brick like yours which is attractive. I would focus on the landscaping. Get rid of the pompom bushes. Extend the plantings from the side of the garage to line part of the drive, but add more variety. Plant an ornamental tree out in the yard to frame the entry. Plant a hardwood on the right side of the property. Some plants I would look into are oak leaf and pee gee hydrangea, mountain laurel, red twig dogwood. I like ornamental trees like Eastern Redbud, crabapple, snowbell, Crepe Myrtle....See MoreRelated Professionals
