entryway styling help

I recent got this chest for my entryway. I'd love some styling ideas (with pics if possible) for it. I love neutrals and my home to be a calm serene environment ( Im not one for big bold colors). Any ideas for the pics on the wall,lamp and styling objects would be greatly appreciated!!! Here's some pics of the piece and the area around it. Thank you in advance.

Your home is beautiful and your taste is stellar. You have purchased the perfect scale of chest for the space and now need some height and details. First and easiest thing to add are tassels to the knobs on your draws. I would choose a metallic colour or a pick up on one of the accent colours in your other rooms.

A mirror is always nice but at the lower height it might be frustrating to use. But if you have enough room a round mirror would be nice or even a picture with a slight ornate frame. Definitely opt for shiny or glossy finishes to reflect light in the space. Pretty, practical, objects for holding keys or storing scarves or umbrellas would be very nice.

Add a lamp if you can. Something oversized and pretty that will help to create a warm atmosphere for the space. Something textural, metallic or crystal and don't forget a spot for flowers. A handful of carnations or hydrangeas or warm autumnal flowers are always pretty. Or if that is too much work a sedum or cacti are a good choice.

Single Lamp off centre will balance out a low, voluminous object on the opposite side. If you want something more masculine, introduce blacks and metals and natural materials.

Maybe a chair in a darker tone, especially in velvet or a textured fabric.

Thank you everyone! It sounds like everyone agrees less is more here. My husband will kill me if I try to move the pictures because the framer (who I don't recommend at all - eh, hem, Michael's) has the hanging wires on the back all at different lengths. It took my husband a long time to hang them in the right places and they can't be moved easily. Removing all the baskets and stuff on the table is probably a good start. I agree a lower buffet would be better, too. The chandeliers in the entry and dining room are ready for an update. Thanks!!! I knew you would be able to have a fresh take on this.

I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it.

thank you for the rendering, since the picture was taken all the burgundy paint trim (making all the rectangles) was painted the same as the rest of the area so that it just blended in. The door itself is being replaced, right now it is 6 panel with no glass/window. The side lights are each 24 inches wide and the texture is such that at night you can see in pretty clearly. The sidelights are also older glass that has little to no insulation value and we are in a cold climate. We don’t want to make the entry smaller because of the brickwork that would have to be added. Instead we are looking at building up trim in between the sidelights and the door. because the house is a tri-level and no one is building those anymore (I believe) I am struggling with what kind of door to replace with. We are not mid-century and don’t really like that style anyway. while I can scroll through images and doors for sale I just don’t know what the right look for the house should be.

I HATE Edison bulbs in any fixture and honestly why light the ceiling in a staircase . Look for something you love that lights the whole space . I have no clue as to your style so you need to share that if you want some suggestions . I like this style of lighting in a staircase , it adds drama and allows lighting to light up the whole space as for color that needs to be decided with all your other lighting and accents. Make sure whatever you choose is all LED bulbs in 4000K to keep the hassle of changing bulbs to a min. and also keep all the colors you have already chosen to stay true. .
