Pretend your 90 year old grandmother who doesn't see so well is coming to visit. That's the amount of lights to leave on in the home for a showing. Add small lamps in unexpected places like a small one where your fruit bowl is in your kitchen and an uplight behind your chair next to the patio door. Turn them all on just before you leave the house for the showing. And I'd also eliminate the two small appliances in your kitchen corner, even if they needed to come back out for usage on a daily basis, you don't want them on the counter during showings. You also want to eliminate 90% of the stuff on top of the white cabinet in the den and (needless to say) the toys. A big basket that you can stuff everything in and stash in the car is a great timesaver on last minute tidying. You don't have to find a "home" for the remaining clutter. It goes with you in the car.

Do you remember what the color is called and who makes it? Perhaps with that info I can find the equivalent BM. Love your cabinets. Hoping ours look good with the darker floor. Still working with the cabinet maker on stain color as the first sample looked redish when held next to our floor, and that isn't what we want. celtinNE -> We have a local store that is a BM dealer and they try to help, but unfortunately they are not experts. They run around grabbing samples for you and give you some ideas, but in the end you can tell they don't really have that much more knowledge then we do. roarah -> Don't worry, we are in the same boat. I'm pretty sure some of the islands posted on GW cost more then our entire kitchen! Perhaps one day we'll win the lottery :).

J M...just enjoy the thread..it really can be fun...yes always someone that has to be negative....just ignore them....with dark cabinets and the greens and teals in other room it will look very nice to add the cool tones to the kitchen..head out to homegoods if you have one they have a great selection of towels!:) found these on Amazon...4 for $21..I love 100% cotton...do you need a kitchen rug..if so buy that first and add decor and towels to compliment it!:)
