Comments (53)Dottie - I could not have done this without an educated designer - it's not just about the design choices although I would never have come up with design choices as my brain isn't hardwired in those kinds of visually imaginative ways. I can appreciate things but I don't know how to pull them together and I wouldn't have the ability to figure out where to even start in terms of the sea of vendors. I am good about researching appliances and functions but get lost in the sea of visual possibilities :-) And I can't even imagine dealing with codes and such since Los Angeles is code crazy - I wanted to move some floor electrical outlets up a bit from the floor as I found it difficult to reach them when I had some hip issues so I was thinking about for the future - I was told that if I move a plug, the whole thing has to be rewired back to the panel box. And the darn kitchen sink has to be approved by the UL LOL - who would think a kitchen sink could be dangerous....See MoreHelp! What tile to select for bathroom? Encaustic, Ceramic, Wood tile?
Comments (12)Hi, Can you clarify for me, what colour is the wall paint? Blue? Grey? Can you give us the brand and colour code? Also, are you sticking with your current shower curtain or is that subject to change? I love those encaustic choices, but I wonder if the pattern might be too big for what looks like a small space. Some of those tiles, it takes 4 tiles square to get the pattern. If I assume that the size of the tile might be similar to the squares in your current linoleum, then you'll maybe only have one full pattern of the tile visible in a row and maybe 4 or 5 complete patterns in total on the floor. I don't know if they make smaller versions of the same tiles, so that you could benefit from more pattern in your space, or that might make it look very busy, depending on the tile. thanks...See MoreHelp Me Select Sconces For My Master Bathroom
Comments (1)I’d place a paper cut out up of the ones you are considering. I think you’ll find the height of the mounting plate in relation to the shade/light will feel too high. You will want your light source more central over the mounting plate. Wet rated as well. Don’t be afraid of something with simple lines: https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/orren-ellis-leisa-cylinder-1-light-armed-sconce-w001221350.html?piid=590326443...See MoreBathroom tile selection help
Comments (19)Pebbles are popular in the showrooms now. They look nice, but I was also afraid of slipping. Best to stay with a matte tile for the shower floor. You are getting closer. How about a regular subway for the walls, use the gray for the floor as long as it is matte finished, then a mosaic gray mix for the shower floor. Use the gray in the floor tile as your guide to match the shower floor tiles. No marble. It is slippery and we kept being talked into putting stuff on it which was ridiculous to do to a new floor....See MoreKim Swanson
