Floor choice with light gray cabinets
Comments (12)I prefer the one on the right. It’s calmer but I think a lighter color will keep it from looking closed in. I’m biased because our rv flooring is a beige tile. Nice looking countertops....See MoreWhat color wood floor for modern farmhouse light grey kitchen cabinets
Comments (13)I do like the cerused look myself and its really what I initially had in mind as my stain. Its not a finish everyone offers, is likely to be an upcharge if it is offered, and is going to look best on a rift or quartersawn white oak which isn't cheap wood to start with. I'm happy with how mine turned out and everyone who sees it seems to like it. It's driftwood on maple with an black glaze. Without the black glaze, the pink of the wood showed through and was too much. It's definitely grey, but it has an underlying brown and slightly pink tone so its warm and not GREY. I think it fairly different/unique/unexpected. Would probably have been a bit much for the entire kitchen though, I'd be careful of using grey flooring though, it's such a huge surface can be overwhelming....See MoreBest wall color for gray toned wood floors?
Comments (10)Unfortunately, a gray-toned floor will hold you hostage for picking wall colors, backsplash and counter. It pretends to be a neutral, but then the reality hits after it‘s installed, that it’s not a neutral. If you still can, I’d pick a floor that is a more natural wood color. In any case, pick the wall color LAST, after you’ve chosen counters, then backsplash....See MoreGray- Light Gray Engineered wood floors? Experience or Direction?
Comments (9)The Torlys link will be spectacular...and they will NOT be as low as $3/sf. Torlys is a premium cork brand that has branched out into vinyl, etc. They don't make anything 'budget friendly'. But then again everything they do is FANTASTIC...so no wonder the vinyl floor doesn't feel like vinyl It's from Torlys. A LOW END engineered hardwood is $5/sf. And the amount of head ache that goes with it will be horrible. I would stick with laminate or vinyl in that price range. And for a good laminate you will want to look at the higher priced products = $7/sf. A low-range vinyl can be found for $3-$4/sf. I personally prefer a HIGH END laminate for $4.50/sf instead of a low-midrange vinyl for $4.50/sf....See MoreShannon_WI
