Pottery Barn in home design service
Comments (0)I'm not a huge fan of PB furniture, but I like the PB 'eclectic style'...I am wondering if anyone here has used their in home design service? I have a living room/dining combination and need to work with a rustic looking table (no chairs yet, deciding between wicker v. upholstered) I have 2 Ethan Allen chairs which I like and are in excellent condition but I'm not sure I want to keep the upholstery...I'm really TERRIBLE when it comes to accessorizing and could use a lot of help....Basically both rooms need to be decorated almost from 'scratch'..I prefer the coastal/casual style and PB seems to have a lot of items that seem to fit the category....Anyone having experience with PB design service?? TIA!...See MorePainting tables from Pottery Barn
Comments (3)I think I can help you with a low cost effective solution to your dilemma . Buy a cheap can of spray paint make sure it is flat , and the color is the same spectrum that you plan on painting the finished table. Take the table to a well ventilated area and spray a light coat of the flat paint on the table allow it to dry 24 hours then you have an excellent base that any paint or shellac will adhere to. I hope this is helpful and enjoy your wonderful find. If you are not happy with the finished product I do happen to have 2 solid cherry wood end tables I am moving to a smaller apartment and there is really not the right amount of space for me to keep the tables without having it become cluttered. So make me an offer after you research the value of Solid cherry wood end tables 22x22x18 2 tier solid wood in mint condition bran new showroom condition.. The 2 tables are solid cherry wood metropolitan cube design ....See MoreBenchwright table from Pottery Barn - to wax or add coat of poly?
Comments (98)This furniture is wood chips compressed with glue, with a slap of cheap stain on top. It's awful given how much the pieces cost and how long you have to wait to have them delivered. The upholstered pieces don't hold up to real life either. I've also experienced dye fading in expensive PB towels and bathmats with the very first wash, while using a mild detergent like Cheer to protect the colors. The spots never stop appearing. Pottery Barn would not even consider taking them back. So I buy all household textiles elsewhere. Walmart has better quality towels. We shall see how these retailers fair in the next year or so, as the economy is changing rapidly, and how responsive they are to customers when there are fewer of them....See MorePottery barn brooks dining table surface problems
Comments (5)I would be well and truly furious. The question is, what do you do now? You’re not going to love this advice, but I would look for a new table that has a wood top, and a true pedestal base. You will be much happier with a better design, and a better quality piece. Arhaus is having a sale......See MoreHU-866215580
