Help needed deciding master bedroom carpet color and paint color!
Hi, we are recarpeting and repainting master bedroom, and have picked out Masland sisaltex carpet, but not sure what color for carpet and paint. Pics show master bath which has tile and more of a griege paint color that I thought would work in master, but the gray carpet doesn’t look right to me with that bathroom color. The rest of our house is more of a true light gray paint which looks better to me with carpet(shown on hardwood floor), but would that be too much gray in master? And would it clash with master bathroom? I’ve thought about also just painting a softer really light gray, almost white or going with a totally different carpet color...like more jute or sisal color like shown on stairs picture? Please help...any thoughts or suggestions appreciated!

Comments (2)I’m not a fan of focal walls that are a different color, but if you want to do it, the wall the bed is on usually is the focal wall. Can you post of picture of that wall to see if it’s a suitable candidate? You have a lot going on with the other walls with different heights, ledges, vaults, etc. maybe not the best room for two colors. Comments (4)I think you're going to want to take your color cues from the finishes you choose for flooring, cabinets, etc., especially in the bathroom. Once you have those, start pulling paint swatches that coordinate and take you in the direction you want to go. I've seen some lovely and classic looking barn doors done, so I'm sure you can pull off the look. Comments (25)Yes, I think pink is a beautiful color for a master bedroom! The trick is picking the right pink and then balancing it with other elements that are not overly feminine. I love pink and brown together, or black. When choosing a grownup ink go to the brown section in your color deck. As you move up to the lighter colors you will see what I refer to as dirty pinks. 5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoYour current bed, bedding and curtains lean into warmer tones. Fabrics and textiles usually generate the wall color. When new curtains go up check this for a better look.
